Abstract:
There is provided a data processing apparatus for segmental processing of input data. The apparatus includes a plurality of data processors connected in a series configuration, the plurality of data processors being able to transmit discrete data packets over a video bus to one another, with the plurality of data processors being divided into a plurality of data processing sets; and a central controller coupled to the plurality of data processors for controlling allocation of the input data to the plurality of data processing sets, the central controller being also for controlling transmission of output data from the apparatus. The apparatus incorporates several varying methods for data transmittal amongst data processors and has several applications which will be described.
Abstract:
System, device, and method for audio reproduction are provided. The system includes a media computing device and an electronic device connected such that their speakers can be used in combination in optimizing the audio reproduction of media being played or streamed. Each device can be portable and the audio reproduction can include virtual/spatial/surround audio reproduction. When connecting, the media computing device serves as a host and the electronic device serves as a slave for data communication. As such, the media computing device can process an audio signal into any portion for reproduction on any speaker. Further, when connecting and if needed, the electronic device serves as a host and the media computing device serves as a slave for power management. Depending on the system configuration, a suitable connection can be made via a wireless or single cable wired connection between the media computing device and the electronic device.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided to transform external sound from an external position of an external audio space to an internal position of an internal audio space where the external sound would be heard naturally. The techniques involve capturing the external sound with a microphone and processing the captured external sound to appear as if it was captured at the internal position of the internal audio space, which may correspond to an output of a driver or a user's eardrum. Then the processed captured external sound may be conditioned for the individual user or further combined with conditioned audio content to create an augmented audio experience for the user. Any combination of the techniques can be implemented in real time.
Abstract:
A data file having more than one modes of operation. The data file comprises an image component for storing an image as a representation of the data file and one or more data components appended to the image component. The image component comprises metadata associated with the one or more data components. In a first mode of operation, the image component of the data file is readable for viewing the image by an image viewer while the image component is part of the data file. The one or more appended data components are unreadable by the image viewer in the first mode of operation. In a second mode of operation, the image component and the one or more appended data components are readable by a file reader.

The processor can be configured to receive and process input signals in a manner so as to produce output signals. The processor can be associated with response characteristics. The control portion can be configured to produce control signals. The control signals can be communicated to the processor. The control portion can be configured to receive data signals. The control signals can be modified based on the data signals. Response characteristics associated with the processor can be varied based on the modifiable control signals and the processor can be further configured to process received input signals based on the variable response characteristics so as to produce the output signals.

An electronic reader device configured to receive at least one set of source data for processing in a manner so as to display at least one electronic reading material. The electronic reader device includes a processing portion and a display portion coupled to the processing portion. The processing portion can be configured to process at least one set of source data in a manner so as to produce graphic data. Graphic data can be communicated to the display portion which can be configured to display graphic data as display data in a stereoscopic display mode. The display data can correspond to a graphic representation. In the stereoscopic display mode, the graphic representation is associable with a three dimensional imaging based graphic representation such that the display data correspond to a graphic representation where at least one portion of the at least one electronic reading material is visually perceivable to be projecting from the display portion.

A method for association based identification. The method includes providing at least one identifier and communicating identification information based on the at least one identifier. The method further includes receiving and processing identification information. Each of the at least one identifier can be associated with a color code. Identification information can be processed in a manner so as to produce association data. The association data can be associated with at least a characteristic data from a set of library data. The set of library data can correspond to a library of color codes and a characteristic data from the set of library data can correspond to a color code from the library of color codes. The association data is based upon to produce output signals. The output signals can be based on characteristic data associable with the association data.
