Abstract: For decorations resistant to microwaves on tableware items of silicate materials, bright rare metal preparations are used which consist of one or more organic compounds of rare metals, an organic carrier and a flux of organometallic compounds, the flux containing an organic silicon compound having three hydrolysable groups on the silicon atom in quantities of 0.1 to 2 mol of silicon per mol of rare metal.
