    Abstract: Systems and methods for processing a received radio signal in a communication system are described. Initial time synchronization is acquired using a trace operator. Then, a number of channel taps for use in further processing is determined based on the initial time sync, also using a trace operator. A final synchronization position is then selected using the number of channel taps and, if multiple branches are employed to receive the signal, using a determinant-based technique. Finally, a channel estimate is determined using the final synchronization position.

    Abstract: Un nodo de red 606,608 y un método para el reordenamiento del Protocolo de Convergencia de Paquetes de Datos (PDCP). El nodo de red está operando en una red de comunicaciones inalámbricas 600. El nodo de red almacena en el búfer en orden una o más primeras unidades de datos recibidas fuera de orden por una capa PDCP, caracterizado porque las una o más primeras unidades de datos se reciben de una capa inferior durante un primer período de tiempo, y caracterizado porque la capa inferior es una capa debajo de la capa PDCP.     Abstract: A method for localized congestion exposure within a local loop in a cellular network that is performed by a localized congestion exposure receiver node of the local loop. The method includes receiving downlink packets destined for a downstream user device. The downlink packets have headers that indicate a level of congestion experienced by the downlink packets. The headers also indicate a level of expected downstream congestion declared by an upstream node. The method also includes forwarding the downlink packets to the downstream user device through a wireless connection. The method further includes sending packets upstream that have feedback indicative of the level of congestion experienced by the downlink packets and any congestion experienced within the localized congestion exposure receiver node.

    Abstract: Multi-channel audio signals are used to create a main signal, typically a mono signal, and a side signal (x side). A number of encoding schemes (81) for the side signal (x side) are provided. Each encoding scheme (81) is characterised by a set of sub-frames (90) of different lengths. The total length of the sub-frames (90) corresponds to the length of the encoding frame (80) of the encoding scheme (81). The encoding scheme (81) to be used on the side signal (x side) is selected dependent on the present signal content of the multi-channel audio signals. In a preferred embodiment, a side residual signal is created as the difference between the side signal and the main signal scaled with a balance factor. The balance factor is selected to minimise the side residual signal. The optimised side residual signal and the balance factor are encoded and provided as encoding parameters representing the side signal.
