Abstract: The spectacle frame according to the invention comprises a spectacle bow 1, which is mounted on a movable part 3 hinging it to the front part 4, 5 of the spectacles. The bow and the movable part 3 are joined to one another by means of a profiled part 7 having a central necking in the cross-section. When the normal opening position of the bow 1 is exceeded, the profiled part 7 is elastically extended in the longitudinal direction by the effect of a stop 9 on the body 8 of the spectacle bow. This extension permits the counter-action of the stop to be elastically absorbed without damage to the spectacle frame.
