Abstract: The invention relates to an optical article comprising an organic or mineral glass substrate, a layer of a polymeric material and an intermediate layer possessing antistatic properties in direct contact with a main face of the substrate and the layer of polymeric material, the intermediate layer comprising a mixture of colloidal particles of at least one electrically conductive colloidal metal oxide, of colloidal particles of at least one colloidal mineral oxide having a refractive index of 1.55 or less and optionally of a binder, in proportion such that the mass of electrically conductive colloidal metal oxide particles represents 50 to 97% of the total weight of colloidal particles present in the intermediate layer, said intermediate layer being an initially porous layer, the pores of which have been filled either with material of the layer of polymeric material or with material of the substrate if the latter is made of an organic glass, so that the intermediate layer, after the initial pores thereof has been filled, constitutes a quarter-wave or almost quarter-wave layer at the wavelength of 550 nm.
