Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for detecting a variation of a current refractive error of a person. The method comprises obtaining (SI) an optical equipment comprising an optical lens, a dioptric function of the optical lens being adapted for correcting an initial refractive error of a person, the optical equipment further comprising a processing circuit comprising a processor operably connected to a memory. The method comprises using the memory, obtaining (S6) a current value of a parameter, the current value being indicative of a variation of a current refractive error of the person with respect to the initial refractive error. The method comprises using the processing circuit, detecting (S7) a variation of a current refractive error of the person with respect to the initial refractive error based on the obtained current value of the parameter.

Abstract: The invention relates to a semi-finished optical element (SF) for manufacturing an ophthalmic article (1) for vision-correction comprising: - at least one blank (3) having a front diopter (3F) and a rear diopter (3R), the blank (3) being configured to present a first optical power distribution, - one of the diopters (3F, 3R) being unfinished and the other being finished, - a optical component layer (5) comprising a periodic or pseudo - periodic arrangement of optical wave-front shaping elements (5E) that are smaller than 10µm and configured to control incoming light at least in a part of the visible spectrum and providing a second optical power distribution, wherein the optical component layer (5) is transparent in transmission in the visible wavelength and is disposed on the finished diopter (3F, 3R) of the blank (3) for cooperating together to achieve a third optical power distribution.

Abstract: An ophthalmic lens intended to be worn in front of an eye of a wearer having a first optical function based on a prescription of the wearer for correcting an abnormal refraction of said eye of the wearer and comprising at least one activable optical element, wherein in a first state the at least one activable optical element contributes with the rest of the lens to focus the image of an object at distance on the retina, and in a second state the at least one activable optical element has a second optical function of not focusing an image on the retina of the eye of the wearer so as to slow down the progression of the abnormal refraction of the eye
