    Abstract: 1,267,253. Pesticides in admixture. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 14 Aug., 1969 [14 Aug., 1968], No. 40681/69. Heading ASE. A pesticidal preparation comprises (1) 4,6- dinitro - 2 - secondary - butylphenyl dimethylacrylate, 4,6 - dinitro - 2 - secondary - butylphenyl stearate, or 4,6 - dinitro - 2 - secondary - butylphenyl isopropyl carbonate in admixture with (2) 2,4,5,4' - tetrachlorodiphenyl sulphide or 2,4,5,4' - tetrachlorodiphenyl sulphone. The ratio of ingredient (1) to ingredient (2) is preferably 3-7 parts by weight of (1) to 1 part by weight of (2). The pesticidal preparations are advantageously used in the form of a wettable powder containing one or more wetting agents, adhesives, dispersing agents, grinding auxiliaries and solid carrier materials or an emulsifiable concentrate containing one or more additives selected from wetting agents, adhesives, dispersing agents and inert liquids. Preferred wettable powders comprise 10-80% by weight of the active ingredients (1) and (2), 3-10% by weight of the wetting agent and/or dispersing agent the balance being solid inert carrier materials whilst a preferred emulsifiable concentrate comprises 10-70% by weight of the mixture of active ingredients (1) and (2), 5-15% by weight of an additive the balance being an organic solvent. The preparation is particularly effective against spider mites and mildew.

A pesticidal composition comprises 4-(O,O- dimethylphosphoryl)- 5-chloro-bicyclo- [3,2,0]- heptadiene-1,4 of formula (I) in admixture with a) 1-phenyl-3-(O,O-diethylthionophosphoryl)-1,2,4-triazole of formula (II) or with b) O,O-dimethyl-(1-hydroxy-2,2,2-trichloroethyl)-phosphonic acid ester of formula (III) or with c) O,O-dimethyl-S-(3,4-dihydro-4-oxo- 1,2,3 - benzotriazine-3-yl-methyl) - dithiophosphoric acid ester of formula (IV) or with d) O,O-dimethyl-S-(5-methoxy-1,3,4- thiadiazole-2-(3H)-one-3-yl-methyl)-dithiophosphoric acid ester of formula (V). mixtures comprising 1-2 parts by weight of the compound of formula (I) with 1-12 parts by weight of a compound of formulae (II)-(V) are especially suitable, with mixtures of 1 part by weight of the compound of formula (I) with 1-8 parts by weight of a compound of formulae (II)-(V) being preferred. The composition may be used together with a carrier, such as a solid or liquid inert carrier material, an adhesive, a wetting agent, a dispersing or a grinding auxiliary in the form of wettable powders, emulsions, suspensions, dusts, granules, fly bands, spreading agents and washing agents. The pesticidal compositions are advantageously used in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate containing 10-60% by weight of the mixture of active ingredients, 5-20% by weight of a wetting agent and the balance one or more organic solvents. For spraying from aeroplanes pesticidal compositions which comprise 70-95% by weight of a mixture of active ingredients and 30-5% by weight of aliphatic mineral oils, aromatic mineral oils, ketones, vegetable oils, or liquid emulsifiers.
