An automating assembly for electrical installations comprises a plurality of input and output modules each detachably fastened to a respective modular module carrier removably attached to a support bar. The module carriers each include an integrated circuit connectable to the integrated circuits of adjacent module carriers by means of rigidly mounted plug strips and cooperating jack strips connected to the integrated circuits of the module carriers via flat flexible cables. Each modular module carrier is connected to a respective terminal block for the coupling of external wires to the automating assembly. The module carriers are designed to facilitate the removal of individual module carriers for applications in which a reduced number of input and output modules is required.

A twisted textile web is detwisted by continuously withdrawing the web from a supply and passing the web longitudinally along a path and over a curved deflecting surface formed by a roller that deflects the web and divides the path into an upstream leg and a downstream leg that are out of alignment with each other. The deflecting surface can pivot about a pivot axis which passes through a pivot located to the upstream side of a straight line passing through the center of curvature of the deflecting surface and angularly equispaced between the legs. In a central position of the deflecting surface the two legs, the surface, and the pivot are all coplanar so that a twist in the web will pivotally deflect the surface in a direction depending on the direction of twist. The extent of pivoting is detected and the web is detwisted in the upstream leg in response to the detected pivoting of the surface. It is also possible to rotate the entire supply synchronously with the detwisting device to prevent a twist from being added to the web with the system according to this invention.

Oxymethylene polymers are stabilized against the action of heat and oxygen by a stabilizer combination of an ester of a hydroxyl group containing araliphatic or aromatic carboxylic acid and an alkaline earth metal salt of an aliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic carboxylic acid. The efficiency of the stabilizer combination can be further improved by the addition of a costabilizer, especially a guanidine compound. The stabilized poly(oxymethylenes) are suitable for the manufacture of semifinished and finished articles.

A cooling device is disclosed for cooling a superconductor, wherein the cooling device includes a linear compressor for compressing a working medium and a cooling unit for providing a cooling power to a cryogenic coolant of the superconductor by expanding the working medium. The linear compressor includes two pistons of which at least one, preferably both synchronously relative to each other, are displaceable at a frequency and a stroke linear to the other piston, wherein a defined cooling power can be generated at a good efficiency so that the cooling device is suitable for use particularly in mobile installations, such as ships. To this end, according to at least one embodiment of the invention, the stroke of the at least one displaceable piston is controlled at a preferably prescribed target value.

The description is given of a sanitary water-outflow fitting, in particular a tub-filling mixer unit, having a water-outflow housing (1) and a jet former for a wide-surface-area water-outlet jet (19), the jet former being arranged in the housing. The water-outflow housing (1) comprises an elongate supply channel (21) which runs essentially perpendicularly to the water-outlet jet (19), tapers in a funnel like manner in the throughflow direction and is bounded by an intermediate wall (37). The intermediate wall (37) has a multiplicity of throughflow holes (51), via which the supply channel (21) is connected to an elongate distributor chamber (11) essentially parallel to it. The distributor chamber (11) has at least one water-outlet channel (9) leading to the water outflow.
