Abstract: Electronic apparatus (2) with a movable keyboard (10), in which the keyboard can be mounted in position in a case (8) for the apparatus in such a manner that the surface of the keyboard on which the keys are mounted faces towards the inside of the case, comprises a pair of leg members (12A,12B), one of which is provided on one side of the keyboard and the other of which is provided on the other side of the keyboard and a bottom portion (14) formed in the case. The apparatus is characterised in that each of the leg members has an end (22A,22B) forming a curved surface and a recess (24A,24B) formed continuously with the curved surface, and a pair of recesses (18A, 18B) are formed one at each side of the bottom portion, each of which has a receiving surface (32A, 32B) on which the curved surface of the end of a respective one of the leg members can slide and rotate, and a projection (34A, 34B) capable of fitting into the recess in the leg member. With such an arrangement, when the keyboard is pivoted from its position within the case to a surface (50) on which the electronic apparatus is positioned, about a predetermined point (100) of each leg member as a fulcrum by sliding and rotating the curved surface of the end of each leg member on the receiving surface formed on the corresponding recess formed in the bottom portion, the recess in each leg member is fitted into the corresponding projection in the bottom portion to provide a predetermined inclination for said keyboard relative to said surface.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an inclining device having simple structure and easy to assemble by arranging an operation part for easily executing sliding operation along the supporting shaft of a leg member on a part exposed from the recess of the leg member. CONSTITUTION: The operation part 50 is arranged on an external face 20B to be the exposed part from the recess 14 of the leg member 20. The operation part 50 consists of a non-slip surface working part 50A, an operating recessed part 50B and an operating projection part 50C. The working part 50A is formed by stripe engraving work or the like applied on almost the whole external surface 20B. The projection part 50C is a finger putting part to be used in sliding the leg member 20 by a finger tip. The recess 50B is increased in the substantial height of the projection part 50C so that a finger tip can easily be put on the projection part 50C. Since an operating member different from the leg member itself is not projected to the side face or the like of the computer body, the device is conveniently carried or stored.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a structure which enables dispensing with the opening of a cover such that the operation of releasing a latched state and the lifting up the cover can be performed at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A retainer 10 is provided on one of a cover 2 and a main part 1. Further, a locking means which, when the retainer 10 is moved from a retaining position to a releasing position, prevents the retainer 10 from being moved from the releasing position to the retaining positions. Further, when the cover 2 is opened, the retainer 10 is allowed to be moved from the releasing position to the retaining position is provided. When the retainer 10 is moved from the releasing position to the releasing position for opening the cover 2, the retainer 10 is kept at the releasing position and the released state of the latch can be kept.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To minimize the area on a desk required for the use by placing a bottom face whose area is smaller than those of the front face and the rear face on the desk at the time of the use and allowing a keyboard to function as a cover. CONSTITUTION:The case of a portable personal computer 1 has an upper face 23, a bottom face 24, a front face 25, a rear face 26, a left face 27, and a right face 28, and the area of the bottom face 24 is smaller than areas of the front face 25 and the rear face 26, and the bottom face 24 is placed on the desk at the time of using as well as not using the computer 1. A keyboard 4 is pivotally stuck to the frame of the personal computer 1 and is pivotally moved between the opening position and the drawn-back position as shown in the figure. A flat display device 2 and a floppy disk driving unit 3 are so set that they can be drawn back. Thus, the portable personal computer is obtained which requires only a minimum area on the desk when it is used by an operator.
