    Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for enabling collaboration across tenants in a multi-tenant environment using single sign-on (SSO) authentication/authorization. Various examples provide for creating a user account and provisioning a subscription to a user (e.g., to enable single sign-on authentication/authorization). The user is allowed to access services (e.g., collaborative services) in a multi-tenant environment by utilizing a subscription authorization of the user without prompting the user to authenticate by logging-in again (that is, without prompting the user to log-in again after the user has already logged-in and been authenticated for a given session). Other examples provide for mapping webspaces through URL hosts where each organization (that is, tenant) has its own set of namespace(s).

    Abstract: The present invention allows users to navigate in a Web application or Web pages using a combination of point-and-click and voice-input. At each point of the dialog, the user can use the standard point-and-click interface to perform context-dependent actions, or alternatively, use speech input to navigate and operate in the global application context. The voice input uses a voice navigation component which builds an interface to the installed recognition and synthesis engines. The point-and-click and the voice navigation components can be loaded automatically with the initial Web page of a Web application. Grammars for recognizing vocabulary related to that Web application will be provided with the voice navigation component. The present invention combines the advantages of a context-dependent point-and-click user interface with those of a context-independent speech-input interface. Accordingly, a multi-modal interface can be provided to a Web browser.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a client-server system having a security system for controlling access to application functions. The security system separated from the clients and the application functions routes all incoming requests created by various PVC-devices to a centralized security system providing an authentication component and a security component. The authentication component provides several authentication mechanisms which may be selected by information contained in the client's request. The authentication mechanism may be changed or extended without changing conditions on the client as well on the server or application side. The security component provides a security policy describing security requirements for accessing application functions which may be invoked by the security component. If the selected authentication mechanism succeeds and fulfills the security policy associated to that application function then the application function will be invoked by the security component.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for comfortably operating chipcard applications in a chipcard application system. It is proposed to define at least one trusted terminal device (12) in a trusted environment for a Chipcard (10) in use with which the card holder verification (CHV) dialogue is suppressed and the CHV operation is performed in the system hidden from the user. Either, the trusted terminal ID is stored on the chip of the chipcard, or, the Chipcard ID (22) is stored on a trusted terminal together with the PIN (Personal Identification Number) of the card holder. Such an association can help to suppress the CHV dialogue in a trusted environment.

    Abstract: A device and a process for the performance of cashless payments between customer and dealer via a contact bank. An on-line process between customer and dealer to define the payment method, check the availability frame, issue a voucher to describe the transaction, issue a payment instruction, signature of the issued voucher by the dealer and signature of the payment instruction by the dealer and the customer, where the bank is connected off-line, and a subsequent on-line process between dealer and bank to transfer the signed payment instruction and signed voucher, check the dealer and customer signature, check the allocation between payment instruction and voucher, replace the dealer and customer identity data with information for performance of the payment instruction, performance of the payment instruction and storage of vouchers. No sensitive customer data such as account number, credit card number etc. is stored on the customer card and hence misuse by unauthorised persons is excluded. The process serves to define the payment methods required by the customer for mechanical processing and to minimise the risk to the customer on loss of the customer card, it also allows customers who do not have a bank account, such as children for example, to have access to an electronic payment means with limited availability frame. The customer card can be designed as a card with contacts or a contactless card.

    Abstract: A method comprises generating a hierarchy of data entities, comprising nodes (301-307) and connected by edges (127), each edge of the edges being assigned an edge weight value based on a dependency category, such as linked, nested, version, tagged etc. between the two data entities. Each node of the nodes (301-307) is assigned a first access rating value based on, for example, the number of visits, a rating etc. One of the nodes (301-307) is selected as a seed node (305), and for each edge of the linked data structure (126, 300) calculating a rating residue value as the difference between the two first access rating values of the nodes connected by the edge. The linked data structure (126, 300) is then traversed starting from the seed node and for each edge traversed starting from a source node to a destination node calculating for the destination node a second access rating value using the at least one edge weight value of the edge and the first access rating value of the destination node and the source node. This is repeated until the residue values converge. Nodes which have access values meeting a criterion are then removed. The data entities relate to media data which is shared between users, such as wikis, blogs, forums, profiles etc.

    Abstract: The present invention describes a device and a procedure for the user-controlled release of chip-card functions in particular through the input of authentication data. The input of the authentication data takes place by way of an input device of a mobile chip-card reader, particularly one designed as a pocket chip-card reader. The authentication data are checked in the chip-card on the basis of a reference list. If the authentication data agree with the reference-data, a function stored in the non-volatile memory of the chip-card is released. The released function can be specified by number, time and period of validity. The chip-card can then be used in a terminal in accordance with the specified release. The present invention thereby guarantees in a simple manner, that authentication data cannot leave the area under the control of the user's chip-card. Moreover, the authentication ensures that only functions released by the authorization such as, for example, the production of a signature or read or write commands, are executed.
