    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a display device includes applying an adhesive to a display panel having a display surface where an image is displayed and an opposite surface on an opposite side of the display surface, on the opposite surface, sprinkling a gap member of a given size on the opposite surface of the display panel to which the adhesive has been applied, and sticking together a board surface of a color separation element and the opposite surface of the display panel on which the gap member has been sprinkled, with the adhesive between the board surface and the opposite surface, the color separation element dispersing light from a light source and emitting a plurality of rays of separated light with wavelengths different from each other.

The ionic-liquid layer is located over the first light-emitting layer and includes an ionic liquid. The second light-emitting layer is located over the ionic-liquid layer and includes a second emissive polymer and an ionic liquid. The second electrode is located over the second light-emitting layer. The light-emitting element may further include a first substrate under the first electrode, a second substrate over the second electrode, and a sealing layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate and surrounding the first electrode.

    Abstract: Provided are a fingerprint detection device and a display device that can reduce the occurrence of unintended patterns. The fingerprint detection device has a plurality of drive electrodes and a plurality of detection electrodes. The detection electrodes have a plurality of first line parts, a plurality of second line parts extending in a direction crossing the first line parts, and bent parts coupling the first line parts and the second line parts to each other.     Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first insulating substrate including a first substrate end, a second insulating substrate including an outer surface and a second substrate end, an electrode located between the first substrate end and the second substrate end, and a transparent conductive layer disposed on a side on which the outer surface is located. The outer surface includes a flat portion and a sloping portion. A thickness on a side on which the second substrate end is located is less than a thickness on a side on which the flat portion is located. The transparent conductive layer overlaps the sloping portion and is electrically connected to the electrode.
