    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a stretchable nonwoven fabric having good durability by subjecting a nonwoven fabric formed from the blended yarns of fibers A comprising a specific thermoplastic polyurethane and a non-elastic polymer with multi-component fibers B comprising non-elastic polymers to a shrinking treatment, removing the non-elastic component of the fibers A, and forming the ultrafine fiber bundles of the component B. CONSTITUTION: An organic diisocyanate is reacted with a chain extender and a polyesterdiol which has an average mol.wt. of 800-3,000 and is obtained by the reaction of 3-methylpentanediol-1,5 with a dicarboxylic acid. The obtained thermoplastic polyurethane is blended with a non-elastic polymer having different solvent solubility, and the blend is melted and spun of form the multi-component fibers A. The multi- component fibers A are blended with multi-component fibers B obtained by spinning at least two kinds of non-elastic polymers, and subsequently processed into the interlaced non-woven fabric. The fibers A are shrunk, and the non-elastic polymers are removed from the fibers A. The fibers B are processed into ultrafine fiber bundles to obtain the flexible nonwoven fabric having rich elasticity, excellent hydrolysis resistance and excellent shape-retainability.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title sheet which is flexible with a sense of fulfillment by shrinking an interlaced nonwoven fabric which is composed of island-in-sea type conjugated fibers containing polyamide as the island component and low density polyethylene as the sea component in a benzoic acid solution, adding an elastic polymer, and removing the sea component. CONSTITUTION:A fiber-interlaced nonwoven fabric which is mainly composed of islands-in-sea type conjugated fibers containing polyamide as the island component and a low-density polyethylene as the sea component is treated with an aqueous solution mainly containing benzoic acid to shrink the surface area of the nonwoven fabric by 20 to 50%. CONSTITUTION:An additive for reducing surface tension between polymers is blended with either or both of two polymers to reduce the surface tension between molten polymers for producing a conjugate fiber having an island-in-sea structure of an island component 1 and sea component 2 by a melt spinning method. A thermoplastic polyvinyl alcohol prepared by block copolymerizing the polymer chain with paraffinic parts, etc., are preferred as the additive.
