Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent explosion at the time of collecting a flammable gas coolant by fixing the stator of a motor for a compressor to the outside of an enclosed container and arranging the rotor of the motor on the inside of the enclosed container. SOLUTION: At the time of collecting the flammable gas coolant, e.g. isobutane, of a cooler 1, the air is mixed with the flammable gas in the system piping of a coolant collection unit if a large quantity of air in a case 2 is mixed through gas leakage from a collection port 3 or an on/off valve 6. The mixture gas of the flammable gas and the air is absorbed into the enclosed container of a compressor 7 through operation thereof. Since the stator of a motor is arranged on the outside of the enclosed container, the mixture gas of the flammable gas and the air does not touch a spark generated from the stator of the motor even in case of abnormal overheat where the concentration of flammable gas in the enclosed container reaches the explosion range thus preventing explosion.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigerator oil, capable of maintaining the durability of a compressor without depositing an oligomer or a carboxylic acid metallic salt, etc., dissolved in a refrigerator oil ever when a nonester-based low-viscosity refrigerator oil is applied to a reciprocating hermetically closed type electric compressor in order to raise the efficiency and prevent hydrolysis. SOLUTION: A refrigerator oil, consisting essentially of a nonester-based synthetic oil having /sec kinematic viscosity at 40 deg.C and containing >=20wt.% component having 1400 deg.C boiling point compounded therewith can be used to thereby maintain the durability of a compressor without depositing an oligomer or a carboxylic acid metallic salt, etc., near a discharging chamber or a discharging valve due to no complete evaporation of the component having >=400 deg.C boiling point in the refrigerator oil in the discharging chamber and due to the discharge together with the refrigerant while dissolving the oligomer or carboxylic acid metallic salt therein. A carbonate-based synthetic oil or an ether-based synthetic oil is preferred as the nonester-based synthetic oil.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy and the convenience of such a measuring apparatus that quantitatively evaluates a contaminant dissolved in a refrigerator oil. SOLUTION: The inside of a system is vacuum-evacuated, a refrigerator oil, in which a contaminant is dissolved, is then poured into a sample container 11, and a refrigerant is poured into the sample container 11 while it is being pressurized or cooled. Then, a valve 15 and a valve 16 are opened, and the sample container 11, a filter holder 12 and a collection container 13 are connected directly. Then, when the collection container 13 is cooled by a cooling device 14, a mixed solution of the refrigerator oil and the refrigerant is passed through a filter inside the filter holder 12 so as to be collected in the collection container 13. On the basis of a change in the weight of the filter holder 12 or the filter held inside the filter holder 12 before and after a test, a contaminant which is precipitated in the mixed solution of the refrigerator oil and the refrigerant can be evaluated quantitatively.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether or not air is mixed into a freezing system owing to gas leakage from a low pressure side piping and correctly judge whether or not the cause of a trouble is due to low pressure gas leakage by disposing low pressure gas leakage detection means on the freezing system. SOLUTION: A refrigerant is compressed by a compressor 1 and is sent to a condenser 2 through a refrigerant piping 5 where it releases heat into a liquefied one which is in turn fed to an expansion-mechanism 3 through the refrigerant piping 5. The refrigerant is reduced in pressure in the expansion mechanism 3 and is fed to an evaporator 4 through the refrigerant piping 5 where it is cooled by being vaporized, and then it is returned to the compressor 1 through the refrigerant piping 5. Herein, a temperature sensor 6 being low pressure gas leakage detection means is disposed on the high pressure side of the refrigerant piping 5. When a great volume of air is mixed into a freezing system, temperature measured by the temperature sensor 6 greatly exceeds temperature indicated by ordinary working environment conditions of the refrigerant system so that it is confirmed that the great volume of air is mixed in.
