Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability by coping with enlargement of a variable operating speed range which results from the use of an inverter, relating to a closed compressor. SOLUTION: A lubricating passage 25 communicating with a shaft thrust surface 15 from the upper end face of the flange 9 of a crankshaft 7 is provided so that under an operating condition in which an oil film on a thrust bearing 17 is difficult to entrain, as during low-speed rotation, lubricating oil discharged from the sliding parts of a piston and a connecting rod is directly supplied to the thrust bearing 17 from the upper end face through the lubricating passage to increase the amount of lubricating oil supplied to the thrust bearing 17 and enhance a lubrication characteristic during low-speed rotation or the like so as to enhance reliability.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in response to the enlargement of a variable operation speed range accompanied by the use of an invertor in a hermetic motor-driven compressor. SOLUTION: In a joint part between a rotary shaft 7 and an oil filler cone 27, the inner circumferential surface of the cone 27 and the inner circumferential surface of a fuel oil pump 28 are matched with each other, and a step difference is eliminated. Since lubrication is not disturbed by the step difference when lubricant oil sucked up by the cone 27 is brought from the cone 27 to the pump 28, an appropriate amount of lubrication can be secured during low speed operation. A lubricating condition can be improved in each sliding part in the inside of this compressor, and occurrence of wear can be suppressed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of abnormal wear of a connection part between a piston pin and a connecting rod in the subject compressor. SOLUTION: Since a connecting rod 5 performs reciprocation motion to a fixed piston pin 13 at a connection part between the rod 5 and the pin 13, a fluid film caused by lubricant is hard to generate, leading in generation of metal contact at a part of a sliding surface. At this time, a lubricative film 14 having a frictional coefficient of 0.1 or less formed on a surface of the pin 13 and a metal contact part at the connection part of the rod 5 slide on each other, and accordingly the coefficient is kept to be 0.1 or less. As a result, a temperature increase in the vicinity of the connection part between the rod 5 and the pin 13 is reduced to prevent vaporization of lubricant, resulting in prevention of changeover to a dried frictional condition.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator to obtain high reliability on explosion proofness, in an indirect cooling refrigerator using a hydrogen carbide refrigerant. SOLUTION: A cooler 21, an adsorbent to absorb HC, a decomposition catalyst to decompose HC, and a heater 32 to heat the decomposition catalyst, are situated in a circulation air passage 28 through which air is circulated through a refrigerator. This constitution prevents the refrigerator from being filled with an HC refrigerant since the HC refrigerant is adsorbed and decomposed, reduces a risk of ignition to the HC refrigerant, and provides an effect to enhance reliability.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of explosionproof when air is mixed into a freezing cycle owing to bad welding. etc., in the freezing cycle such as a refrigerator and an air conditioner, and the life where hydrocarbon is used as a refrigerant. SOLUTION: In a freezing cycle comprised of a compressor 1, a condenser 2, an expansion mechanism 3, and an evaporator 4, there are provided an oxygen adsorbent 7 comprising reducing iron or activated carbon, a case 8 for containing the oxygen adsorbent 7, and a transparent plate 9 for transmitting oxygen in the freezing cycle and partitioning the oxygen adsorbent 7 and the freezing cycle. Hereby, when air is mixed into the freezing cycle owing to bad welding and the like, oxygen concentration with respect to hydrocarbon in the compressor 1 is prevented from reaching an explosion region, and even when any spark is produced at a stator (not shown) of an electric motor in the compressor 1, fire is prevented from being induced and exploded on the hydrocarbon, whereby there is ensured a freezing cycle having high reliability against explosionproof.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability by reducing abrasion due to metal-to-metal contact on a thrust sliding, even in a state that the supply of refrigerating machine oil to the thrust sliding surface is insufficient in times of starting, low-speed operation and so on, in the centrifugal pump effect of an oil feeding mechanism installed in a shaft. SOLUTION: A flange lower end sliding surface 30 and a thrust upper end sliding surface 31 constituting a thrust bearing 32 are formed into a conical surface bearing construction. Since a thrust sliding part is formed into the conical surface bearing, an oil film is made up in space between the flange lower end sliding surface 30 and the thrust upper end sliding surface 31 by rotation of a shaft 2 in an easy manner by a squeeze film action, just like a journal bearing. Therefore metal-to-metal contact is prevented from occurring, and thus a reduction in abrasion is realizable.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent explosion at the time of collecting a flammable gas coolant by fixing the stator of a motor for a compressor to the outside of an enclosed container and arranging the rotor of the motor on the inside of the enclosed container. SOLUTION: At the time of collecting the flammable gas coolant, e.g. isobutane, of a cooler 1, the air is mixed with the flammable gas in the system piping of a coolant collection unit if a large quantity of air in a case 2 is mixed through gas leakage from a collection port 3 or an on/off valve 6. The mixture gas of the flammable gas and the air is absorbed into the enclosed container of a compressor 7 through operation thereof. Since the stator of a motor is arranged on the outside of the enclosed container, the mixture gas of the flammable gas and the air does not touch a spark generated from the stator of the motor even in case of abnormal overheat where the concentration of flammable gas in the enclosed container reaches the explosion range thus preventing explosion.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of abnormal abrasion at a bearing part. SOLUTION: Since a bearing part, formed out of the upper end part 21 of a bearing 9 made of an aluminum alloy, and of a thrust washer 32 has a kind of a bearing part composed of parallel flat plates, a fluid film formed by lubricating oil with a squeeze effect, is hardly formed to cause metal contact on a sliding surface. In this case, the sliding of the metallic contact of an upper end surface 21 with the non-adhesive film 31 formed over the surface of the steel parent material 32 of the thrust washer 30, thereby prevents aluminum forming the upper bearing 9 from being adhered to the thrust washer 30. As a result, since there are no abrasive starting point, the occurrence of abnormal abrasion can thereby be prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce starting failure caused by uneven contact and abrasion of a thrust sliding part as well as preventing the damage of the thrust sliding part caused by thrust washer by arranging an annular groove on a shaft flange surface corresponding to a protrusion of the thrust washer fixed to a flange surface of a shaft. SOLUTION: An annular thrust washer 19 is interposed between a flange surface 18 and an upper end surface of a bearing part 15, and is provided with a protrusion extending upward so as to fix to a shaft 16. An annular groove 21 is formed on a flange surface 18 of a balance plate 17 of a shaft 16 corresponding to the protrusion 20. A width of the groove 21 is set larger than that of the protrusion 20. The groove 21 and the protrusion 20 are fitted to each other, and the thrust washer 19 is fixed to a flange surface 18 of the shaft 16. As a result, movement in a diameter direction of the thrust washer 19 is regulated, an inner circumferential surface of the thrust washer 19 is brought into contact with a journal surface of the shaft 16, and abrasion is prevented from generating by bite effect.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of ignition of combustible gas by a method wherein a gas discharging device, constituted of a frame, supporting a sheet unit for covering a refrigerating and air-conditioning instruments as well as a working space, an air suction port and an air discharging port, which are opened in the sheet unit, and an explosion-proofing type fan, connected to an exhaust duct connected to the air discharging port, is installed. SOLUTION: A gas discharging device is constituted of a sheet 1, covering a refrigerator 8 and a working space 7, and a frame 2, supporting the sheet 1 from the inside thereof, while the device occupies an area, sufficient to the bottom area of the refrigerator 8 and a working space 7. An air suction port 3 is installed on the upper side of the sheet 1 and an air discharging port 4 is installed on the lower side of the sheet while an exhaust duct 5 is connected to the air discharging port 4. The exhaust duct 5 is connected to an explosion- proofing type fan 6 and the outlet port of the exhaust duct 5 is installed so as to be faced to the outside of a building. During repairing work, the explosion-proofing type fan 6 is rotated at all times to discharge HC refrigerant, remaining and staying in the sheet 1, forcibly to the outside of the building through the air discharging port 4, the exhaust duct 5, the explosion-proofing type fan 6 and the exhaust duct 5. According to this method, affection to the ignition of HC refrigerant is reduced and the safety of repairing work can be improved.
