    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a woody molded article having an excellent performance in dimensional stability, durability, and adhesive strength by making oligoesterified woody materials having an active hydroxyl group at the side chain be unified and integrated to each other through an isocyanate-polyurethane adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:Oligoesterified woody materials having an active hydroxyl group are adhered to the side chains in which dibasic acid anhydride and epoxy composition is reacted to woody materials through isocyanate-polyurethane adhesive agent, whereby firmly adhesive integration is made by the chemical combination of the active hydroxyl group in the oligoesterified woody materials and the active isocyanate group in the isocyanate-polyurethane adhesive agent, as a result, woody molded articles are obtained, such as polywood, veneer laminated board, particle board, woody fibrous board, laminated lumber or the like. Such obtained woody molded articles have excellent dimensional stability and durability because they are performed oligoesterified treatment in its woody material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the surface strength, etc. of a woody decoration plate by scattering curable composition containing oligoesterified cellulose material having a polymerizable double bond and oligomer as a main materials on the surface of a wooden plate, and applying a predetermined pressure thereto at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A curable composition containing oligoesterified cellulose material having a polymerizable double bond, obtained by reacting dibasic acid anhydride and monoepoxy compound having polymerizable double bond with dried cellulose material, and oligomer having polymerizable double bond as a main materials is prepared. After the surface of a wooden plate material is coated with the curable composition, pressure necessary to at least partially plasticize the cellulose material component in the composition at a high temperature is applied, and crosslinked by polymerization of double bond simultaneously upon plasticizing. Further, the composition is adhered to the plate to be integrated to obtain a surface curable woody decoration plate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a molding excellent in dimensional stability, mechanical properties, heat distortion temperature, etc., by mixing a composition comprising a wooden material bonded to an oligoester having a polymerizable double bond and a polymerizable oligomer with an unsaturated polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:A mixture comprising 100 pts.wt. composition formed by mixing a wooden material (A) bonded to an oligoester having a polymerizable double bond (a wooden material wherein a polybasic acid anhydride such as maleic anhydride and a polymerizable epoxy compound such as allyl glycidyl ether are alternately added to the OH group of a wooden material component) with an oligomer (B) comprising a polybasic acid anhydride and a polymerizable monoepoxy compound in an A to B ratio of 50:50-90:10, 5-50 pts.wt. unsaturated polyester (C) and a radical polymerization initiator is simultaneously plasticized and crosslinked to obtain a plasticlike wooden molding.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molded item whose surfaces are tough and hard, and that is dense and excellent in heat resistance, wear proofness, dimensional stability, etc., by mixing a woody material such as wood flour or the like with a special compound containing acid anhydride groups, and molding the mixture under heat and pressure. CONSTITUTION:Trimellitic acid ester anhydride of formula I (wherein R1 represents a glycol residue) or pyromellitic acid ester anhydride (A) having more than one acid anhydride group of formula II [wherein R2 represents a (poly)alkylene glycol residue, or a polyhydric alcohol residue having 3 or 4 OH groups, and (n) is 1-3] is added to a woody material (B) comprising wood flour, wood chips or wood fibre, and they are intimately stirred. Then the mixture is molded under heat and pressure to obtain the intended item. It is preferable to mix the constituents (A) and (B) at or over the softening or melting point of the constituent (A). EFFECT:According to the composition of the mixture, the obtained item has a glossy plastic appearance.

SOLUTION: A polyolefin-based resin composition comprises (A) a polyolefin, (B) an esterified wood-based material obtained by addition-esterifying a polybasic acid anhydride to hydroxyl groups in the wood-like material, and (C) urea. The urea C is added in an amount of 0.05-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the components A and B.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyolefin resin compsn. which has a good moldability and can be molded without causing scorching, burns or the like, by incorporating a specified amt. of a basic metal soap into a polyolefine resin compsn. contg. a lignocellulosic or a cellulosic substance. SOLUTION: The objective polyolefin resin compsn. is prepd. by mixing (A) a polyolefin resin, (B) a lignocellulosic or a cellulosic substance in an amt. of 20 wt.% or higher of the compsn., 0.005-1 wt.% (based on the sum of A and B, the same applies hereunder) org. peroxide (e.g. benzoyl peroxide), 0.1-10 wt.% modified polyolefine, 0.1-20 wt.% polybasic acid anhydride (e.g. maleic anhydride), and a basic metal soap (e.g. zinc stearate) in an amt. of 0.005-5 wt.% of the compsn. at 150-260 deg.C with an extruder or the like. Resin A is pref. a mixture of polypropylene having a melt flow rate of 0.1-200 g/10 min and a polyethylene having a melt flow rate of 0.01-200 g/10 min in a wt. ratio of (40/60)-(90/10).
