Abstract:
A playback device includes: an attribute readout unit that reads out first attribute information, indicating whether a dynamic range of luminance of the video stream is a first dynamic range or a second dynamic range, from a management information file recorded in the recording medium in a manner correlated with the video stream; a decoding unit that generates decoded video information by reading the video stream out from the recording medium and decoding the video stream; and an output unit that, in a case where the first attribute information that has been read out indicates the second dynamic range, outputs the decoded video information, along with maximum luminance information indicating a maximum luminance of the video stream in accordance with the second dynamic range.
Abstract:
A recording medium records data including a digital stream where video information has been encoded. A recording region of the recording medium has a first recording region where reading is performed at a first read rate, and a second recording region where reading is performed at a second read rate that is faster than the first read rate. The data is classified into digital stream data having a real-time attribute and a data file having a non-real-time attribute in a file system of the data. The digital stream is not continuously recorded spanning a boundary between the first recording region and the second recording region. The data file is permitted to be continuously recorded spanning the boundary.
Abstract:
Recorded in a recording medium are a video stream of standard-luminance range, and a video stream of high-luminance range that is a broader luminance range than the standard-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with a playback environment, a subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range, and a subtitle stream of the high-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with the playback environment, and a playlist file storing playback control information of content, playlist file including a management region where the playback control information relating to a main stream is stored, and an extended region. The management region stores first playback control information specifying that a video stream of the high-luminance range and a subtitle stream of the high-luminance range are to be played in combination. The extended region stores second playback control information specifying that a video stream of the standard-luminance range and a subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range are to be played in combination.
Abstract:
At least one video stream that is encoded video information, and a management information file (BD.INFO file) indicating attributes relating to the entire recording medium, are recorded in a recording medium. The management information file includes attribute information (is_HDR) indicating whether the dynamic range of luminance of an initial video stream, which is played first out of the at least one video stream when the recording medium is inserted into a playback device, is a first dynamic range (SDR), or a second dynamic range (HDR) that is broader than the first dynamic range.
Abstract:
A recording medium is a disc-shaped recording medium having a plurality of recording layers, in which a video stream is recorded on the plurality of recording layers. Part of the video stream is recorded up to a first recording position on a first recording layer of the plurality of recording layers. A remaining part of the video stream is recorded from a second recording position of a second recording layer adjacent to the first recording layer. The video stream is seamlessly connected between the first recording position and the second recording position, and a first distance between the first recording position and the second recording position in the radial direction of the recording medium is smaller than a second distance in the radial direction regarding which a jump is permitted in seamless connection within a same recording layer.
