Abstract:
An identity recognition system and method capture an image of a subject that is projected by light of different wavelengths, extract various biometric informations from the image, analyze and compare for each of the biometric informations to generate a matching score, and determine an identity for the subject according to all of the matching scores. The system and method have higher recognition accuracy, lower false acceptance rate, lower false rejection rate, and higher flexibility.
Abstract:
There is provided an electronic device arranged to be unlocked using a fingerprint. The electronic device includes a touch pad, a processor and an operation system. The touch pad acquires fingerprint data within sequential multiple time intervals, respectively. The processor recognizes a fingerprint of each time interval according to the fingerprint data. Upon a sequence and an operating feature of multiple fingerprints matching a predetermined condition, the processor controls the operation system to unlock the electronic device.

Abstract:
A physiological detection device including a light source, an image sensor and a processor is provided. The light source illuminates a skin surface using a burst mode. The image sensor receives ejected light from skin tissues under the skin surface at a sampling frequency to successively generate image frames. The processor controls the light source and the image sensor, and calculates a physiological characteristic according to the image frames captured when the light source is illuminating light. The physiological detection device reduces the total power consumption by adopting the burst mode.

There is provided a user interface system including a slave device and a master device. The slave device provides light of two different wavelengths to illuminate a finger surface, receives reflected light from the finger surface to generate a plurality of image frames, calculates and outputs an image data associated with a predetermined number of the image frames. The master device calculates a contact status and a displacement of the finger surface and a physiological characteristic of a user according to the image data.
Abstract:
There is provided a displacement detection device including a light source, an image sensor and a processing unit. The light source provides light to a finger with a light source parameter. The image sensor receives reflected light from the finger, outputs valid images when the light source is being turned on and outputs dark images when the light source is being turned off. The processing unit determines a contact status according to one of the dark images and one of the valid images, and calculates a displacement according to two of the valid images to accordingly adjust the light source parameter.
