Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device by which information is recorded on or reproduced from a plurality of information recording media which have different kinds of specifications of recording density, the recording or the reproducing is performed with a single objective lens, and a spherical aberration due to a production tolerance in the thickness of the recording media and a spherical aberration due to the difference in the position of the recording face in the direction of the thickness according to the difference in kinds of media are both compensated. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a light source 20 which emits light, an objective lens 2 and an optical system 30 for compensating the spherical aberrations. The optical system 30 for compensating the spherical aberrations has a lens 11 for compensating the spherical aberrations used for a first information recording medium, a lens 12 for compensating the spherical aberration used for a second information recording medium and a optical system changeover means for changing over the lenses according to the kinds of the information recording media. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a transmission-through band of a spatial filter for preventing moire depending on the resolution in the image input device provided with an image shift means to receive a plurality of images with different resolution. SOLUTION: A position of an image formed on an image pickup face of a CCD 14 is deviated by tilting a transparent refraction flat plate 22 with respect to an optical axis 10 of an incident light from a subject to attain shift of image. An image is shifted at a distance shorter than a distance between photo sensing parts of the CCD 14 and resulting plural images are synthesized to obtain an image with high resolution. A transmission-through band of the spatial filter 12 for preventing moire is selected by changing a relative angle between double refraction plates 20, 21. In the case of input of an image with high resolution by an image shift mechanism 13, the transmission-through band of the spatial filter 12 is selected toward high frequencies to obtain an image with excellent resolution.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect on resolution by an image shift operation by making an actuator of the image shift mechanism small to attain a high speed operation of the actuator. SOLUTION: A couple of bimorph piezoelectric elements 22a, 22b are arranged at both sides of a bending plate 21 of an image shift mechanism 10. The bimorph piezoelectric elements 22a, 22b have cantilever structure, their base end is fixed to a stage 25 and their free end is inserted between an upper support plate 23 and a lower support plate 24 to support one end of the bending plate 21. When the bimorph piezoelectric elements 22a, 22b are displaced, the bending plate 21 is tilted around a turning center O.
