Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate undercut when molding a metallic mold, and to improve a manufacturing effeciency of a cassette, by forming a guide groove for guiding the opening and closing operation of the inside cover, in the fitting part of the upper half and the lower half of a tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a tape cassette is partitioned by partitioning walls 21, 22, and on both the left and right end parts of these partitioning walls 21, 22, a pair of guide faces 23, 24 are provided, and when the upper half 2 is fitted into the lower half 3 in the direction as indicated with an arrow (a), a pair of guide grooves 31 are formed. A guide pin 81 of an inside cover 39 is guided to this guide groove 31, and the opening and closing operation of the inside cover 39 is executed. If such a guide groove 31 is formed independently on the upper half 2 and the lower half 3, under-cut is generated, and it is impossible to mold a metallic mold, but since the guide faces 23, 24 is formed opposingly as mentioned above, injection molding by a metallic mold can be executed. Therefore, a manufacturing efficiency of a cassette can be elevated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent dust, etc., from sticking to a tape by blocking a tape, run along an opening part, with a front, an upper, and an internal cover which open and close while interlocking mutually. CONSTITUTION:This tape cassette is provided with a front cover 37 which freely opens and closes to cover the front surface of a tape 10 run along an opening part 18, an upper cover 38 which is freely rotatably pivoted to the cover 37 to cover the part of the tape 10, and an internal cover 39 which is freely rotatably pivoted to the cover 38 to cover the back surface of the tape 10 opposing to the front cover 37. The tape 10 is blocked with said front cover 37, upper cover 38, and internal cover 39, which open and close while interlocking mutually.
