PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the contents and time length of moving image data much more reliably than before.SOLUTION: When thumbnail images Tp corresponding in number to the length of a scene are extracted from each scene (moving image data), the thumbnail image Tp of the favorite point of the scene is preferentially extracted and displayed. In such a manner, the length of each scene (moving image data) is confirmed by a user, and the thumbnail image of the favorite point of the scene is confirmed as well. Thus, the contents and the length of the scene (moving image data) are confirmed by the user more reliably than before.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly present content of a recorded video image immediately after imaging before the memory fades away. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: an operating part for inputting a recording start instruction and a recording end instruction; a recording part for recording moving images captured during a recording period from the recording start instruction till the recording end instruction in a recording medium; a thumbnail generating part for generating a plurality of thumbnail images that represent sections obtained by time division of the moving images; and a display control part for displaying a recording confirmation screen that arranges the plurality of thumbnail images in chronological order on a display part immediately after the recording end instruction. Also, a track display picture 541 is displayed based on information existing in the lowest hierarchy, and a terminal mark 551 being a symbol expressing that any lower hierarchy does not exist is displayed in "Sunshine" put in a currently selectable state. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by switching folders through easy operation and making switching operation for folders and image files consistent with a user's concept model. SOLUTION: In a picture ST1, a choice of a folder F1 is displayed with an icon indicating the folder F1. Image files P11 and P12 are reproduced images after photography. In a display frame SC, a photographic image R of a current subject, and icons of the files P11 and P12 and folder F1 are displayed at the same time. The user presses a down button of a cross key 27 to switch the folder from F1 to F2. With the down button pressed, the picture ST1 is changed to a picture ST3 via a picture ST2. In the picture ST 2, numbers in the icons change and a state in the middle of switching of the folders is displayed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily comprehend the degree of the spread of sounds in the case of adding reverberation sounds. SOLUTION: In order to display the parameters of reverberation sounds, the device displays ripples corresponding to the length of reverberation time that is set. As an example, as the reverberation time varies from a short value to a long value, the intervals of the ripples are stepwise varied as shown in Figures A to H and at the same time the number of ripple waves is increased. Thus, reverberation time is visually grasped and the setting of the time is properly matched with the feeling.

SOLUTION: A photographed image R of a present object and a reproduced image P1 which is photographed just before and acquired and located to the left of the photographed image R are displayed on an ordinary display screen ST1 without being overlapped with each other. An image P2 reproduced before is located to the left of the reproduced image P1. The image files are displayed in each of the folders, in the order of the photographing days and times, starting from the oldest. Even in the display screen ST43 where all the image folders are displayed, all the image files are rearranged on the time base. The transient display screen ST42 displays a state, where the image files are being rearranged on the time base.
