Abstract: PURPOSE: To sufficiently correct camera shake and to suppress the deterioration of image quality in picked up image. CONSTITUTION: A picture element matrix 1 where plural picture element arrays in which plural picture elements holding image pickup signals obtained by image pickup of a subject image in readable manner are arranged in a vertical direction, are arranged in a horizonatal direction, vertical registers 2 which are provided for the respective picture element arrays, which transfer the image pickup signals held by the respective picture elements forming the respective picture element arrays for respective vertical synchronising signals and which hold the image pickup signals so that they can be transferred, a horizontal regsiter 3 transferring the image pickup signals transferred from the respective picture element arrays to the respective vertical registers by shifting them in the vertical direction by the image pickup signals of one picture element and transmitting the image pickup signals which are shifted and transferred in synchronizing with horizontal synchronizing signals and a transfer clock generation means which can variably set the number of the transfer times of one horizontal scanning period generating a transfer clock signal for transferring the image pickup signals transferred to the vertical regsiters 2 to the horizonatal register 3 at every one horizontal synchronizing signal are provided.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To process a luminance signal with one delay circuit only and to simplify the constitution by applying vertical pre-emphasis processing or vertical de-emphasis processing to a luminance signal, suppressing a signal component of a chroma band, and applying the vertical de-emphasis processing when required. CONSTITUTION:Comb line filter circuits 4, 5 and chroma signal band attenuation filter circuits 32, 34, 36 are provided, which suppress the signal component of the chroma band as to a luminance signal SYIN(SDEM) based on the output signal SYEN of the comb line filter circuits 4, 5. Moreover, based on the output signal SYEN of the comb line filter circuits 4, 5, noise reduction filter circuits 6, 7, 8 emphasizing or suppressing the luminance signal SYIN(SDEM) are provided. Thus, the luminance signal SYIN is processed by one delay circuit only and the constitution of the signal processing circuit is simplified more of the share of processing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a reproduced image from blurring on a screen by correcting the position of the image pickup output signal of a CCD according to the level of a hand shake detection signal which is sampled and held. CONSTITUTION:The camera device consists of the CCD(solid image pickup element) 1, a timing signal generating circuit 2, a hand shake sensor 4, a sample holding circuit 5, the hand shake correcting circuit 8 composed of a field memory 6 and an address generator 7, an exposure time control circuit 10, an exposure time manual control terminal 11, and an output terminal 9. Then the hand shake detection signal obtained by the hand shake sensor 4 is sampled and held, field by field, to correct a hand shake, so the hand shake is corrected in the same field with the same hand shake detection signal. Consequently, the reproduced image can be prevented from blurring on the screen.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an output in compliance with the MPEG format where an audio signal in relation to a photographed still picture is added to the still picture. SOLUTION: A CCD 2 is used to pick up an image of a still picture and a microphone 16 records an audio signal at the same time. The still picture and audio data are written in a DRAM 9 via a memory controller 5. The still picture data are compressed by an encoder/decoder 15 in compliance with the MPEG video format, the audio data are compressed by a software of a CPU 12 in compliance with the MPEG audio format, and the DRAM 9 stores multiplexed data between the compressed video and audio data. In the case of compressing the video data in compliance with the MPEG video format, one set of picture data are coded to generate an I picture and to generate a P picture so that motion vectors of all macro blocks are zero and the picture is coded in a way that the temporally preceding picture is copied and then a output is generated, which has a frame structure that number of P pictures equivalent to a time shared by the audio data is in succession to the I picture. Multiplexed data are stored in an external storage medium 11.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize focus even in the case of pan or tilt photography when performing automatic focus control by using the edge component level of an image pickup signal. CONSTITUTION:The focus control is performed by obtaining an evaluation value from the high frequency component level of the image pickup signal. A camera is provided with angular velocity sensors 13 and 14. Either pan or tilt photography is detected from the outputs of these angular velocity sensors 13 and 14. The moving speed of a lens at the time of automatic focusing is decelerated or stopped in the case of pan or tilt photography. Thus, the focus is stabilized even in the case of pan or tilt photography.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a bad influence owing to the variance of the constant and the temperature drift of an emphasizer/a DC clipping circuit by forming a feedback loop that detects the DC variation part of an FM modulation input and adjusts error. CONSTITUTION:The input DC level of an FM modulator 4 is stabilized by deriving a video signal which comes out through a clamping circuit 1, a pre- emphasizer 2 and a DC clipping circuit 3 to a comparator 5, by detecting DC variation comparing the sink chip level of the signal and a reference level VREF and by changing a clamp level (DC) feedbacking the error portion to the circuit 1. Also, so that a synchronous signal during outputting in the circuit 3 has an overshoot by preemphasis, a horizontal synchronizing signal H-SYNC is led to a waveform shaping circuit 6 and after a pulse that is corresponded to the portion having no influence by overshoot is formed, the comparator 5 is operated and the feedback to the circuit 1 is executed.
