Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal reproducing device that can eliminate unnatural display of video signals that are updated intermittently. SOLUTION: A compressed video signal recorded on a disk 1 is reproduced through a pickup 2. This reproduced signal is fed to a reproduction processing section 3, from which a bit stream is extracted and fed to a decoder circuit 4. The decoder circuit 4 outputs a decompressed video signal. The signal from the decoder circuit 4 is fed to an adder 12 which is a summing means through an amplifier 11 acting as a 1st weight circuit with a coefficient of, e.g. 0.5. A summing signal from the adder 12 is extracted at an output terminal 13 and fed to a frame memory 14, acting as a 1-frame storage means. Then the signal stored in the frame memory 14 is fed to the adder 12 through an amplifier 15, acting as a 2nd weight circuit with a coefficient of, e.g. 0.5.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a stable processing by removing an AFM (FM audio) signal from a frequency multiple signal. SOLUTION: An inputted frequency multiple signal is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 20, and delayed by a prescribed delay time through a fixed delay circuit 21, and supplied to a subtractor 22. Also, only an AFM signal to be trapped is extracted from the frequency multiple signal converted into the digital signal by a fixed delay circuit 24. A phase varying circuit 26 changes (corrects) a phase corresponding to the AFM signal and an AFM demodulation signal, restores it into a real signal, and supplies it to a subtractor 22. The subtractor 22 subtracts the AFM signal from the frequency multiple signal, and outputs it.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing unit that surely separates a luminance signal and obtains a satisfactory video image which doe not depend on band limit unnecessarily, and to provide a video signal processing method. SOLUTION: This video signal processing unit detects a phase change between a horizontal synchronizing clock CKH of a single frequency phase-locked to a horizontal synchronizing signal and a burst clock CKB of a signal frequency phase-locked to a burst of a color signal. A comb-line/trap selection circuit 1 selects a comb-line filter circuit, that is operated based on the horizontal synchronizing clock CKH for the separation of the luminance signal and the color signal, when no phase change is in existence. Otherwise, it selects a trap circuit, that is operated based on the horizontal synchronizing clock CKH for the separation of the luminance signal, when he phase change is large. Since the separation of the luminance signal is accurately discriminated, band limiting unnecessarily is eliminated so that satisfactory video is obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the recorder for video and audio signals where number of part items of a video signal processing circuit is reduced, the power consumption is decreased, the operation is made stable and no adjustment is required. SOLUTION: The recorder mixes an FM video signal and an FM audio signal at a lower frequency band of the band of the FM video signal and records the mixed signal on a recording medium 14. In this case, the recorder is provided with a digital variable filter 3 that receives the digital FM video signal and blocks the frequency band of the FM audio signal and with a digital side wave band detection circuit 4 that detects a level of a side band of the digital FM video signal and varies the characteristic of the digital variable filter 3 depending on the detection level of the side band. Then the digital FM video signal outputted from the digital variable filter 3 is restored to the analog signal and it is added to the FM audio signal and the sum signal is recorded on the recording medium.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the reproduced output of a chroma signal when drop-out is generated only in a reproduced luminance signal but drop-out is not generated in the chroma signal concerning a video signal processing circuit to be used while sharing a 1H delay circuit for drop-out correcting processing and the crosstalk removal of the chroma signal at the reproducing system of a VTR. SOLUTION: The output of a 1H delay circuit 3 and a signal from an input terminal 1 are supplied to a subtraction circuit 5 consisting of a comb line filter. Thus, even when the luminance signal drops out but the chroma signal does not drop out, the chroma signal can be provided from the output of the subtraction circuit 5 at the intervals of 1H. Besides, when drop-out is generated, a limiting operation inside a feedback loop consisting of a noise reduction circuit is stopped and a coefficient is increased. This processing is performed while using a drop-out pulse. Therefore, the chroma signal can be provided even in a line next to the period in which drop-out is generated.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To realize the magnetic recording and reproducing device in which chroma level adjustment is omitted by suppressing dispersion in chroma level caused in the chroma signal processing system. CONSTITUTION: An ACC detecting node (burst signal extract node) is arranged to a post stage of a low pass filter 5 and an amplifier 6 (or attenuator) controlling a detection loop gain is provided and a chroma emphasis circuit 3 for nonlinear processing is arranged to a pre-stage of an ACC circuit 1. Thus, the loop gain is compensated to provide a detection characteristic equal at VTR recording to a detection output at the time of camera signal recording so as to suppress the dispersion in the recording chroma level.
