Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a disc player apparatus for recording and reproducing which allows to stop up the screw hole of a set chassis exposed from a hole part on one side of the apparatus body simply and accurately at a lower cost. CONSTITUTION: A mechanical deck section 4 is provided into the body 2 of the apparatus to record or reproduce information on a magnetooptical disc D through a frame-shaped set chassis 3. A screw hole 3i is formed in a left wall part 3b of the set chassis 3 facing a round hole part 2i on the left side of the apparatus body 2. A concealing piece 3j is formed integrally at the position facing the screw hole 3i by extending a part of the set chassis 3 to be bent from inside. A battery case is mounted into the screw hole 3i through a screw free to load or unload. In addition, the screw hole 3i is stopped up by a tip end part 3k of the concealing piece 3j simply and accurately at a lower cost thereby keeping foreign matters such as dirt from entering the mechanical deck section 4 from the screw hole 3i.
