Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sense the recognition of the switching of a function, on multi-functional electronic equipment.
SOLUTION: The recording and/or reproducing device comprises: a device main body 11 incorporating a recording and/or reproducing mechanism; a lens section 13 disposed on one side 11a of the device main body 11; a display section 24 disposed on the other side 12 of the device main body 11 and used to display an image taken by the lens section 13; a protective cover 14 freely movably attached to the one side 11a of the device main body 11 and used to protect the lens section 13; and a protective cover opening/closing mechanism 30 including a holder 31 connected to the protective cover 14 and freely slidably engaged with the device main body 11, thereby opening/closing the lens section 13 together with the protective cover 14, also including a click plate 34 having an engaging part 61 at one end and supported flexibly at the other end 61, and further including a click ball 33 engaged with the engaging part 61 of the click plate 34. The protective cover opening/closing mechanism 30 clicks such that when the protective cover 14 is slid, the click ball 33 slides over the click plate 34 and feeling of click was given by carring out engagement to the engaging part 61 in the position where the lens section 13 is closed.

As the sliding member 23 slides, the shutter member 12 moves rotationally while the twist coil spring 21 moves rotationally and when the external force in the direction closing the insertion and removal port 8 is exerted to the shutter member 12 to be activated to open and close, at least one of both ends 31a and 31b of the twist coil spring 21 is elastically displaced.
