Abstract: 1044. Stewart, J. Jan. 15. Disinfecting.-A cage, basket, or vessel of perforated or reticulated material, containing a deodorant, is arranged in the ventilating-passages of sewers in such a way that all escaping gas passes through it. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, the vessel d containing the deodorant is placed at the bottom of a passage c leading to the ventilating-shaft b, a, being the manhole leading to the sewer below. When necessary, a special chamber is made for the openwork case, which chamber has a detachable cover to facilitate removal of the case. The sewer may be charged with the fumes of the deodorant by reversing the direction of the air currents shown by the arrows in the Figure. The receptacle may be placed in a bye-passage in a lamp shaft, the direct passage being closed by a removable diaphragm so that the gases must pass through the deodorant.

Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for organizing referrals from at least one referrer to at least one referee for the purchase of products sold by merchants. The present invention further provides that referrers are compensated when a referee buys a specific product from a specific merchant that was referred to the referee by the referrer. Referrers and merchants, and optionally referees, are able to register with an online site to create a unique profile. For merchants, the unique profile will enable merchants to track products that are referable. For referrers, the unique profile will enable them to track which products they have referred to one or more referees.

Abstract: 134,401. Stewart, J. Dec. 7, 1918. Mixing air and gas.-Gas from a pipe 3 after passing the valve 9 mixes with two currents of air, one of which enters through ports 5 controlled by a valve 6 and the other through ports 17 in the cylindrical port of the casing 1 which are controlled by the sliding valve 20 attached to the gas valve. The mixture passes through holes 12 in the valve 9 and afterwards through a throttle valve 24 which may be connected to the valve 9. The ports 20 are also controlled by a rotary sleeve 18. The air entering through these ports passes upwards outside of the screen 22 and then downwards. The valve 6 may control other ports in the casing. The gas valve is adjusted by a forked lever 15.
