Abstract: A shielding apparatus is provided in which operations of raising and lowering a middle rail and operations of raising and lowering a bottom rail can be performed independently from each other by means of a common operation cord. In a shielding apparatus equipped with an elevation apparatus configured to raise and lower a middle rail 3 and a bottom rail 5, whereby a shielding member 2, 4 can be pulled out in the vertical direction or folded in, the elevation apparatus comprises an operation cord 16 of an endless type hanging down from a head box 1, and selective operation means 13 configured to raise or lower the middle rail 3 through an operation of the operation cord 16 in one direction, and to raise or lower the bottom rail 5 through an operation in the other direction, wherein the selective operation means 13 is configured to push up the middle rail 3 by the bottom rail 5 so that the bottom rail 5 and the middle rail 3 can be raised together.

Abstract: Provided is an operation device for a solar shading device such that there is provided a fail-safe function, that the movements of a resident or the like are not hindered, and that during normal operations, unnecessary activation of the fail-safe function is prevented, resulting in making it possible to improve operability. This operation device for the solar shading device is configured in such way that an endless operation cord is suspended from a pulley which is rotatably supported in a head box, and that drive shafts are driven into rotation via the pulley on the basis of an operation of the operation cord, resulting in shade members being driven. In said operation device, the operation cord (16) is made endless by being connected by a connecting section which becomes disconnected under a preset first tensile force; and between the pulley (15) and the drive shafts (11, 12), there is interposed a torque limiter (18) that runs idle under a second rotational torque which is lower than a first rotational torque provided by the first tensile force to the pulley.

Abstract: An operation apparatus of a sunlight shielding apparatus is provided which is equipped with a fail-safe function so as not to hinder behavior of a dweller or the like, and, in usual operation, unnecessary activation of the fail-safe function is prevented, so that enhanced operability can be realized. In a sunlight shielding apparatus in which an operation cord of an endless type is suspended from a pulley supported so as to be capable of rotating in a head box, and a driving shaft is rotated based on an operation of the operation cord by way of the pulley so as to drive a shielding member, the operation cord 16 is made into an endless type by coupling via a coupling section which is configured to be decoupled with a predetermined first pull force, and a torque limiter 18 is interposed between the pulley 15 and the driving shaft 11, 12, the torque limiter being configured to run idle with a second rotation torque which is smaller than a first rotation torque which is exerted on the pulley by the first pull force.
