    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the wetting property to the electrolyte, the holding capacity of the electrolyte, and the adhesive property of the spread film, by specifying the mean pore diameter, the porousness rate, and the density of layer in the thickness direction, of a polyolefin microporous membrane, and soaking it in a surface active agent to cover its inner surface. CONSTITUTION:A microporous membrane which consists of a polyolefin resin, with the mean bore 0.05 to 5mum, the porousness rate 50 to 85 %, with a structure observed from the section in which oval holes are laminated at random, and with the laminated layer numbers (thickness direction density) of the oval holes found in the parallel sections in the largest strength direction, 20 or more, is used. The inner surface of the micropores of the microporous membrane are covered with a surface active agent to make into a hydrofilic surface. Consequently, a hydrophilic polyolefin microporous membrane of a good wetting property, an excellent electrolyte holding capacity, and a strong spread film adhesive property can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to impart long-term reliability to a microporous polyolefin membrane by preventing it from decreasing in mechanical strengths due to oxidative deterioration, etc., in an element, by applying a specified amount of an antioxidant for polyolefin to said membrane specified in a surface pore diameter and a porosity. CONSTITUTION:This microporous polyolefin membrane has a surface pore diameter of 0.01-5mu and a porosity of 30-90% and is coated with 0.001-0.5g, per 10g of the membrane, of an antioxidant for polyolefin. When said porosity is smaller than 30%, the capacity of holding an electrolyte is decreased, and a problem such as dry-up occurs. On the contrary, when this porosity is larger than 90%, the mechanical strength is insufficient and a problem such as short circuit occurs. When the amount of said antioxidant applied is below 0.01g, a serious problem of marked degradation after long-time use at high temperatures occurs. On the contrary, when this amount is above 0.5g, a problem about electrical properties occurs.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title membrane having a high void content and excellent mechanical strengths, by forming in a membrane micropores of an elliptic shape having a specified ratio of the major axis to the minor axis when observed from the membrane surface. CONSTITUTION:100pts.vol. polyolefin resin such as polypropylene of an intrinsic viscosity of 1.8-3.3dl/g, an isotactic index of 93% or higher, a weight-average MW/number-average MW of 5 or less, a melt crystallization temp. of 106 deg.C or higher, and an m.p. of 120 deg.C or higher and 80-180pts.vol. org. solid (e.g., dicyclohexyl phthalate) are compounded and melt-extruded. 95% or more of the org. solid is extracted with a good solvent for the org. solid (e.g., trichloromethane). Then, the film is drawn in one direction 1.5-6-fold at a temp. in a range from the glass transition temp. of polyolefin to the m.p. -100 deg.C in one direction and heat-set to obtain a microporous polyolefin membrane of a void content of 50-85% and an average void diameter of 0.05-5mum, wherein the content of the micropores having an elliptical shape wherein the ratio of the major axis to the minor axis is 1.5-7 when observed from the membrane surface accounts for 60% or more of the whole micropores.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in an electrical characteristic by laminating a sheet of electrical insulating paper and a biaxial orientation polypropylene film laminated via a specific polyolefine bonding agent with this specific polyolefine bonding agent. CONSTITUTION:In case of an insulating material laminated by sticking sheets of electrical insulating paper made up of using a natural or synthetic fiber together on both sides of a biaxial orientation polypropylene film, a polypropylene film consists of a laminated biaxial orientation polypropylene film made up of laminating at least more than two sheets of biaxial orientation polypropylene films for adhesion together via polyolefine at a temperature of 100-150 deg.C in melting point. And, this polyolefine at the melting point 100-150 deg.C is used for adhesion between the laminated biaxial orientation polypropylene film and the electrical insulating paper, and that more than three pieces of imino type and/or amino type nitrogen atoms per 100 have in an outer layer part ranging from the surface facing to the electrical insulating paper of the polyolefine layer to 100Angstrom . With this constitution, voltage resisting and oil immersion characteristics are improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title highly pure film excellent in open-cellular quality of micropores, cost, etc., by melt-molding a mixture of a PP with a specified organic solid and extracting the organic solid from the molding. CONSTITUTION:A mixture is obtained by mixing 100pts.vol. PP (A) of an intrinsic viscosity of 2.1-3.3dl/g and an isotactic index >=97% with 80-180pts.vol. extractable solid (B) (e.g., dicyclohexyl phthalate or triphenylene phosphate) having an m.p. of 35-100 deg.C, an MW of 200-1,000 and a molecular structure having a polarizable or polar group. This mixture is pelletized by melt kneading with, e.g., a twin-screw extruder and cast with an extruder at a draft ratio >=4 and 60-110 deg.C, and the obtained film or the like is treated with an extracting solvent, such as trichloromethane, methyl ethyl ketone or toluene, which is a good solvent for component B but is a poor solvent for PP to extract component B and dried to obtain the title film having a porosity of 40-90% and an average pore diameter of 0.05-5mu and being excellent in open-cellular quality in the direction of thickness.

CONSTITUTION:A laminated polyester film consists of an A-layer composed of polyester A and a B-layer composed of polyester B and is characterized by that the m.p. difference between polyester A and polyester B is 15-50 deg.C and has quasi-crystalline fusion temp. set to the range from the fusion start temp. of polyester B to the fusion completion temp. of polyester B. At this time, when the m.p. difference between polyester A and polyester B is too less than the above-mentioned range, adhesiveness lowers and, when said m.p. difference is too large, blocking properties become high and a problem is generated from a practical aspect. When the fusion peak temp. of polyester B 18 220-240 deg.C and the glass transition temp. thereof is within the range of 45-70 deg.C, pref., 50-65 deg.C, film forming properties become pref.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film having suppleness and excellent in transparence and stability to size by a method wherein said film is made of thermoplastic polyester, and its crystalline size and a Young's modulus in tension are specified. CONSTITUTION:The title film is made of thermoplastic polyester, its crystalline size being 18Angstrom or larger and 50Angstrom or smaller, Tgfp being 3 deg.C or higher, and a Young's modulus in tension being 0.1-50 kg/mm (in this case, Tgfp is the difference between the glass transition temperature (Tgf) of a polyester film and the glass transition temperature (Tgp) of resin which is a constituent of said polyester film). Preferable resin includes one which consists of an acid component having 50-95mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 5-50mol% of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, and a glycol component comprising essentially 1,4-butanediol. Especially, it is preferable that the ratio of 1,4-butanediol included in the glycol component is 50-70mol%.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance close adhesive strength under a high humidity condition at the time of the vapor deposition of a metal by a method wherein a polyester layer having an m.p. lower than that of a polyolefin-containing polyester layer is laminated to the single surface of the polyolefin-containing polyester layer and both layers is heat-treated at temp. between both melting points to be brought to specific density. CONSTITUTION:To at least the single surface of an oriented layer composed of polyester A containing 0.1-10wt.% of polyolefin, a layer composed of polyester B having an m.p. lower than that of polyester A is laminated in thickness of 0.01-1mum and the obtained laminate is heat-treated at temp. between the m.p. of polyester B and that of polyester A to be brought to density of 1.25g/cm or more. Herein, polyester A is polyethylene terephthalate and has intrinsic viscosity(IV) of 0.7dl/g or more and polyolefin is at least one resin selected from polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene and a copolymer thereof. A metal vapor deposition layer and/or a metal oxide vapor deposition layer are formed on the layer composed of at least one polyester B.
