Abstract: A polyester film, which is substantially non-oriented and whose main component is polyethylene terephthalate, is formed as a some shape, for example, a package, at a condition causing no yield point. The formation ability of the polyester film for forming is improved, and a formed body having a good uniformity in thickness can be obtained. Further, the range of the temperature condition causing no yield point can be enlarged by laminating a PET-system polyester, which originally tends to cause a yield point by itself, onto a polyester having no yield point. In such a laminated polyester film, the slipping property and releasing property from a mold of the film can be improved by specifying the ranges of the degree of crystallinity of each layer, the adhesive force at a high temperature of the film and the surface roughness of the film, and the shape of a formed body can be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a heat resistance and a solvent resistance, and to reduce an optical distortion, i.e., double refraction by combining polyester films having special photoelastic constant, glass transition temperature, haze value, double refraction index in a surface. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film made at least of an A layer and a B layer in which photoelastic constant of polyester of the A layer is 1.6X10- mm /kgf or less and glass transition temperature of polyester of the B layer is 75 deg.C or higher, has 5% or less of a haze value at the time of dipping in solvent, 2.5 x 10 or less of double refraction in an entire layer, and a front layer of at least one side of the film is the A layer. For example, as the A layer polyester, polybutylene terephthalate having 18 of relative viscosity is used. In the polyester of the B layer, terephthalic acid is used as dicarboxylic acid, and polyester having 20 of relative viscosity and containing 50mol% of ethylene glycol and 50mol% of bis(4-hydroxyethoxyphenyl)sulfone is used as dihydroxy compound.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve printability, deposition suitability of printing ink, etc., by forming of a high melting point polyester layer and a low melting point polyester layer, and setting rough shape index Rt/Ra [(maximum roughness)/(mean roughness)] of the surface of the low melting point polyester layer to 12-100. CONSTITUTION:Inert particles (silicon dioxide, etc.) necessary for high and low melting point polyesters are added, melted, extruded by using separate extruders, and laminated in a base manifold or in a polymer tube in a base. Here, the high melting point polyester is desirably polyester terephthalate containing 96mol% or more of ethylene terephthalate. The acid content of the low melting point polyester contains 50-95mol% of aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 5-50mol% of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, and glycol content is desirably aliphatic glycol. Roughness shape index Rt/Ra [(maximum roughness)/(mean roughness)] of the surface of the low melting point polyester layer is required to be 12-100.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the hiding power, the surface gloss and the printability of the film by a method wherein the longitudinal strength and the sum of the Young's moduli in longitudinal and lateral directions of polyolefin film, the optical density and gloss of which are specified, are specified. CONSTITUTION:Of the polyolefin film, of which the optical density is 0.1 or more and the glossiness is 40% or more, its longitudinal strength is made to be 8kg/mm or higher and the sum of its Young's moduli in longitudinal and lateral directions is made to be 250kg/mm or more. Resin, which is prepared by adding 5-50 pts.wt. of methylpentene polymer, the extraction residue of n-heptane of which is 40% or more, to 100 pts.wt. of polypropylene, the isotactic index of which is 80% or more and the intrinsic viscosity of which is 1.2-3.5dl/g, is formed by fusing into the form of sheet or tube and, after that, micro- stretched in the elastic limit at 120 deg.C or lower and further stretched at least uniaxially within the range of 120-170 deg.C.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a microporous polyolefin film with a surface profile which enables a sufficiently uniform contact between an electrode and a separator, by specifying the surface pore diameter, porosity, breaking strength and average surface roughness of the film. CONSTITUTION:A microporous polyolefin film having a surface-pore diameter of 0.05-1mum and a porosity of 30-90%, wherein the ratio (Sm/St) of the max. breaking strength (Sm) to the breaking strength (St) in the direction vertical to that of the max. breaking strength is 1.5-6, and an average surface roughness (Ra) of at least one side is 0.2mum or less. Preferable polyolefins are high-density polyethylene and polypropylene because of their excellent solvent resistance and mechanical properties. A preferable pore structure of the microporous film is one in which pores with an elliptic appearance are distributed randomly in the section parallel to the direction of the max. breaking strength.
