    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film which shows outstanding end shaving properties and heat-resistant traveling characteristics and further, is best suited for a high-capacity magnetic tape. SOLUTION: This laminated polyester film has a reinforcing layer composed mainly of an inorganic matter formed on at least one of the sides of a biaxially oriented polyester film. In addition, the film has a thickness of at most 15 μm and a modulus of elasticity E of at least 6 GPa in the width and/or the longer direction of the film and further, a bending strength index M of 7.5×10-3 N/m in terms of a thickness of 5 μm.

SOLUTION: In the laminated polyester film in which a reinforcing layer containing an inorganic substance as a main component is formed at least on one side of a biaxially oriented polyester film, the film thickness is 15 μm or below, the center line average roughness Ra of the surface of the reinforcing layer is 10 nm or below, the friction coefficient us of the film measured with the reinforcing layers laid to overlap each other is 0.5 or below, and the modulus of elasticity in the longitudinal and width directions of the film is at least 6 GPa.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abrasion and to improve lubricity by forming the number of recessions of a specified ratio on the surface of a biaxially oriented heat resistant film. SOLUTION: A heat resistant film in which its heat resistant resin has no melting point and no decomposition point in its glass transition point 200-300 deg.C is formed, for example, from an aromatic polyamide resin or its precursor. The biaxially oriented heat resistant film is obtained by stretching the unstretched film 1.05-3.0 times in both longitudinal and cross directions and heat-treating the stretched film. In this process, fine recessions of 3000-500,000/mm2 are formed on the surface of the film. When the number of the recessions is below 3000/mm2 enough lubricity can not be obtained. When the number of the recessions is above 500,000/mm2, no further improvement is obtained. The average central line roughness of the surface having the recessions of 3-100 nm is desirable in terms of lubricity and smoothness.

SOLUTION: A layer containing a heat resistant resin as a main component which is dissolved in a solvent is applied at least on one side of a polyester film which was stretched biaxially to complete crystal orientation. The coated film, after being dried, is subjected to a process in which the heat resistant film layer is peeled off from the polyester film, a process in which the separated heat resistant film is stretched in the longitudinal direction and/or in the width direction, and a process in which the stretched film is heat-set.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film and manufacture thereof wherein not only the adhesiveness between a substrate polyester film and a lamination film but also the adhesiveness between the polyester film and coating materials or inks of various kinds can be improved, and the polyester film can maintain its improved adhesiveness even under conditions of high temperature and humidity. SOLUTION: The laminated polyester film has at least on one of its surfaces a lamination film composed mainly of a synthetic resin, melamine crosslinking agent, and oxazoline crosslinking agent. After a lamination film forming coating material composed mainly of a synthetic resin, melamine crosslinking agent, and oxazoline crosslinking agent is applied to at least one of the surfaces of the polyester film before the completion of its crystalline orientation, the film is stretched at least in one direction and subjected to a stretching and heat treatment to manufacture a laminated film.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the adhesiveness with various kinds of paints or ink and an antistatic property under low moisture conditions, by having a laminated film formed by containing a specific wt.% or more sulfonated polyaniline on at least one surface of a polyester film, and specifying a contact angle of the laminated film surface with water in a specific range. SOLUTION: Sulfonated polyanilin is contained in a laminated film by 4 wt.% or more. Besides, in the laminated film, a solid weight ratio between sulfonated polyaniline and resin is preferably 5/95-30/70, more preferably 10/90-25/75, and most preferably 10/90-20/80, and by being fallen in the range, a desired antistatic property is obtained and, moreover, its adhesiveness can be satisfied. A contact angle with water is preferably a degree of 65 or more or 85 or less, and more preferably, 70 or more and 75 or less, thereby raising the adhesiveness with various sorts of paints or ink and also adhesiveness under wet heat conditions.
