SOLUTION: At least the single surface of a biaxially oriented thermoplastic film is coated with a sol solution consisting of an alkoxide of at least one kind of a metal selected from Si, Al, Zr, Ti, In, Sn and Zn and/or a hydrolysate thereof and inorganic particles and an inorganic layer formed by the sol-gel reaction of the metal alkoxide is laminated to the sol solution layer and the thickness of the inorganic layer and the concentration of a carbon atom in the inorganic layer are set to a specific range.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have an excellent ink absorptiveness, good image glossiness, transparency, antiblocking property, water resistance and so forth by forming an ink receiving layer with a polymer containing N-vinyl acetate amide. SOLUTION: There are used papers, a whitened plastic film, a transparent plastic film and so on for the carrier of an image receiving body. Receptor layer forming resin contains N-vinyl acetamide as its one component. By copolymerizing N-vinyl acetemide with a monomer of acrylic acid or the like and cross-linking them, water resistance, an antiblocking property or the like can be improved further. At least, 50% or more of copolymeized acrylic acid is preferably to be present therein as an alkali metal salt. Also, as a action substance is contained in the receptor layer, a dye in ink is trapped with the result that water resistance is improved.

The elastic modulus in the longitudinal direction and/or lateral direction of the laminated film is not less than 6 GPa.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent hot stick resistance, no dirt of a thermal head and excellent printability, by laminating a laminate film containing a mixture of a heat resistant resin and an oily substance as a constituting component on a biaxially oriented polyester film without any intermediary of an adhesive layer. SOLUTION: A polyester film is obtained by longitudinally and axially orienting the film before its crystal orientation is completed in the state that a laminate film is provided, and completing the orientation by heat treating to exhibit a biaxial orientation pattern by a wide angle X-ray diffraction. In the laminate film, a main constituting component is a mixture of a heat resistant resin and an oily substance of 70% or more contained in the film. The laminate film is laminated on at least one surface of the polyester film substantially without intermediary of an adhesive layer. Thus, excellent hot stick resistance, no dirt of a thermal head and excellent printability can be provided even in a high energy application area.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laminated film having excellent flame retardant effect and good productivity by laminating heat resistant resin layers on both surfaces of a polyester film, and setting a drip rate when burned to a specific value or below. SOLUTION: As a polyester in a polyester film (hereinafter referred to as a 'film'), it is not particularly limited, and a polypropylene naphthalate or the like is used. As the film, a film biaxially oriented in the state that a laminated film is provided is desired. A drip rate of the film is 10% or below. Here, the rate is obtained by a combustion test based on UL94VO standards. The film having such a small drip rate is obtained by laminating heat resistant resin layers on both surfaces of the film. As the heat resistant resin, a resin soluble in a bipolar aprotic solvent is suitably used. In this case, an aromatic polyamide resin is suitable. As one example, an N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone can be used.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive label which is excellent in not only the adhesiveness of a polyester film and laminated films but the adhesiveness to a printing layer as well and is excellent in adhesiveness even after a treatment at a high temp. and high humidity by using a specific resin compsn. as the laminated films provided with the printing layer. SOLUTION: This label is formed by providing the one surface of the polyester film with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the other surface with the printing layer on the laminated films. The laminated films consist of a resin, melamine crosslinking agent and oxazoline crosslinking agent as essential constitution components. The resin is at least one kind selected from among an acrylic resin, polyester resin and urethane resin. The laminated films are preferably formed by compounding 0.2 to 20 pts.wt. melamine crosslinking agent and 0.2 to 20 pts.wt. oxazoline crosslinking agent with the resin in the form that the weight ratio [oxazoline crosslinking agent]/[melamine crosslinking agent] in the crosslinking agent is within a range of 0.1 to 10.
