    Abstract: PURPOSE:A modified fiber that is produced by conjugating or mixing the polyester component and the polyamide component, thus showing high draping property, dimensional and shape-retention stability and having improved water and moisture absorbing properties and stain resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective fibers are produced by mixing or conjugating (A) the polyester component such as polyethylene terephthalate copolymer containing 5-sulfoisophthalic acid and (B) the polyamide component containing carboxyls substituted or unsubstituted with an alkali metal such as copolymer or graft copolymer of a polyamide polymer or copolymer with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid to provide carboxyls, at a weight ratio of 5/95-80/20. Preferably, more than 30% of the fiber surface is occupied with the component B and, when necessary, more than 25% of the component A is removed by dissolution or depolymerization.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent filter cloth from clogging, to enhance dimensional stability, and to eliminate uneven waving phenomena at selvage portion by using polyester based fiber containing specific amount of acid group substituted with alkali metal. CONSTITUTION:Normal polyester based fiber is copolymerized with a single or mixed vinyl monomers such as sodium (meth)allyl sulfonate, sodium styrene sulfonate, and (meth)acrylic acid. The fiber is then treated to contain 1.3X10 - 4.2X10 mol/10 gram-fiber of acidic group such as sulfonic acid and carboxylic acid substituted with alkali metal such as Na and K. The fiber is used to make filter cloth of woven cloth, non-woven cloth or structure of these combination. This filter cloth can be used as dry type filter, but is particularly preferable as endless type wet-system belt filter.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:Synthetic fiber that is made by building up a specific silicone resin and a durable elastic resin on synthetic fiber in a specified proportion, thus having excellent animal hair touch and duration. CONSTITUTION:(A) A cured product of polyorganosiloxane bearing 2 or more terminal amino groups of formula I (R1 is hydrocarbyl chain; n is 0, 1; R2 and R3 are H, alkyl), e.g., a cured product of formula II, and (B) an elastomer of polyurethane and/or polyester are applied to synthetic fiber, e.g., nylon 6, so that the total amount of A and B becomes 0.02-10wt% based on the fiber and the weight ratio of A/B becomes 9/1-2/8 to give the objective fiber. EFFECT:The friction coefficient of the fiber becomes low to have oily touch and resilience of animal hair. Further, the resulting fiber shows high washing and dry creaning resistance.
