SOLUTION: This coating device used for producing a color filter is provided with the slit die 40 which is composed of a front tip 58 and a rear lip 60, a slit 68 which is formed between the front lip 58 and the rear lip 60 and has a bottom end opening defined as a discharge port 70, and plural differential screws 80 which is provided on the front lip 58 and for controlling the size of the slit 68 and the discharge port 70, and the axis line of each differential screw 80 is extended along the slit 68 almost in parallel.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To change a slit space easily and with good control by constituting an adjusting means of slit space on one side of a lip to have an adjusting range specified times as large as that of an adjusting means on the other side. CONSTITUTION:A lip 1 with the large adjusting range of slit space and a lip 2 with small adjusting range are disposed face to face, and a slit space 3 forming a die opening section is formed by an end 4 of the lip 1 and an end 5 of the lip 2. Resin is passed from a manifold 7 through the slit space 3 and discharged for forming a film. A heat bolt 8 of length 11 working as an adjusting means of slit space 3 is fitted one lip 1 with its one end fixed on the end 4 of lip with a nut 9 and the other end fixed on the lip 1 with a fixing bolt 10, while a heat bolt 12 of length 12 is fitted in the lip 2 on the other side with its one end fixed on the end 5 of the lip with a nut 13 and the other end fitted in with a fixing bolt 14. The ratio 11/ 12 of the adjusting range 11 of the lip 1 and the adjusting range 12 of the lip 2 is set as 2-20 times, and the change of film thickness and fine adjustment of thickness are constituted with good accuracy and ease.
