Abstract: A film for heat-sensitive mimeograph stencil and a heat-sensitive mimeograph stencil comprising a porous support and the film laminated thereon are disclosed. Since the film of the present invention has an energy of crystal fusion .DELTA. Hu of 3 - 11 cal/g and has a difference Tm in temperature of the crystal fusion-starting point and the crystal fusion-terminating point of 50.degree.C to 100.degree.C, the heat sensitivity is high, so that the characters and symbols or figures can be printed clearly, and the unevenness in the thickness and the light and shade of the printed characters may substantially be eliminated. Further, since it is not necessary to make the film thin, productivity and ease of handling may be promoted.

Abstract: A metal-deposited laminated film for a capacitor is provided, which comprises an oriented polyethylene terephthalate film having a thickness of 0.2 to 2.00 mu m, on one surface of which a metal is deposited, and a propylene copolymer film bonded closely to the surface, opposite to the metal-deposited surface, of the polyethylene terephthalate film with an adhesive force of 0.1 to 2.0 g/cm. Capacitor elements are made by cutting this metal-deposited laminated film in a predetermined width, and then separating the metal-deposited polyethylene terephthalate film from the cut laminated film and successively forming the separated metal-deposited polyethylene terephthalate film into a coil.

Abstract: A magnetic recording material which comprises a film of a polyester and a magnetic layer formed on at least one side of said film, said polyester containing more than 85 mol% of the repeating unit represented by the formula below and having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3 to 1.4, and said film of said polyester having a refracrive index ratio of 0.935 to 0.975 in the thickness direction and a density index of 0.02 to 0.08.(where X is a halogen atom selected from fluorine, chlorine, and bromine, or an alkyl group of carbon number 1 to 3; and t and m are an integer of 1 to 2, p is an integer of 2 to 6, and q is an integer of 2 to 4.1 Although the magnetic recording material is extremely thin, it exhibits outstanding running performance and electromagnetic conversion characteristics. It makes it possible to miniaturize the magnetic tape cassette and extend the recording time. It is useful for long-time video tape and portable 8-mm video tape.

Abstract: @ A magnetic recording disk which comprises (1) a three-layered laminate consisting of a core layer of a biaxially oriented polyolefinfilm which has a birefringence of not more than 0.01 and an amorphous-region orientation coefficient of not more than 0.2 and two outer layers of a biaxially oriented polyester film adhered to said core layer, and (2) a magnetic layer formed on at least one side of the laminate. The magnetic recording disk of the invention undergoes only slight dimensional changes with variations in humidity and temperature, and the dimensional changes are isotropic in the plane. The disk therefore has an excellent electromagnetic properties such as output fluctuation and outbreak of dropouts caused by the environmental change.

Abstract: A film for thermal porous printing paper and a thermal porous printing paper composed of the film and a porous support are disclosed. The film comprises a biaxially oriented polyester film having a crystal melting energy, DELTAHu, of 3 to 11 cal/g and showing a difference between the crystal melting completion temperature and crystal melting initiation temperature, DELTATm, of 50 to 100°C, and hence it has such a high heat sensitivity that characters and solid images are distinctly recorded with substantially no unevenness in thickness or density of the images. In addition, since it eliminates the necessity of reducing the thickness of the film, it improves productivity and handleability of the film.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of grains and adhesion breakage of a film by jointing the surface of a plastic core and the winding starting part of a polyester film by the water-resoluble high polymeric substance and forming a film roll. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a core made substantially from the thermoplastic or thermosetting resin is coated in stripe form having a width of about 10mm in the axial direction by the aqueous solution containing the water-soluble high polymeric substance such as polyvinyl pyrrolidone dissolved in 3 wt.%. The winding starting edge part of the polyester film such as polyethylene terephthalate film is superposed onto the coated layer on the core surface and tentatively fixed, and then the film is wound, and a film roll is formed. Therefore, the adhesion and breakage of the film due to the scattering of liquid droplets due to the use of the liquid such as alcohol is prevented, and also the generation of grains in the use of adhesive can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure clear printing in use of a thermal transfer sheet and prevent ununiform take-up of a ribbon from occurring due to plastic deformation or thermal deformation of the ribbon, by optimizing the planar orientation factor and the axial orientation ratio of a biaxially oriented polyester film. CONSTITUTION:One side of a biaxially oriented polyester film having a planar orientation factor of 0.04-0.09, an axial orientation ratio of 1.05-1.40 and a thickness of 1-12mum is coated with a thermosetting resin, and a coloring material layer is provided on the other side by coating. The value of the planar orientation factor is a parameter indicating the degree of orientation of polymer molecules in the plane of the film, and a lower value indicates a higher planar orientation. If the coefficient is less than 0.04, wrinkling of a ribbon after thermal transfer is severe, so that an error in pitch is generated, causing ununiform take-up. If the factor is greater than 0.09, enhancement of thermal conductivity is insufficient. If the axial orientation ratio of the film is less than 1.05, the film is elongated, resulting in ununiform take-up. On the other hand, if the ratio is greater than 1.40, tearing will easily occur at the time of ribbon fabrication or at the time of thermal transfer. The thermosetting resin is not particularly limited.
