Abstract: The invention relates to a method for wind turbine generators for reducing electrical disturbances in the form of power variations which are caused by damping controllers arranged the compensate structural oscillations by inducing shaft torque variations. The shaft torque variations are generated by imposing corresponding variations in a generator set-point, e.g. a power or torque set-point. Variations in the generator set-point cause undesired variations in the power injected to the grid by one or more wind turbine generators. According to an embodiment of the invention the electrical disturbances may be reduced by limiting a damping controller's control action. The amount of limitation or restriction of the damping controller may be determined on basis on electrical disturbance information determined from power measured e.g. at a location on the grid.

Abstract: A method of damping motion of a wind turbine, the wind turbine comprising a rotor and a floating platform. A motion signal is generated which is indicative of a motion of the wind turbine. A wind direction signal is generated which is indicative of a wind direction relative to the floating platform. A damping signal is generated on the basis of the motion signal and the wind direction signal, and the motion of the wind turbine is damped on the basis of the damping signal, for instance by adjusting the pitch of the rotor blades. A phase of the damping signal may be controlled on the basis of the wind direction signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to pitch actuation of pitch-adjustable rotor blades of a three-bladed wind turbine in a situation where one blade load sensor is unavailable. Based on blade load signals and an availability signal for each of the blade load signals, combined load signals are constructed based on the available blade load signals. The combined load signals are determined based on application of a high pass filter to the blade load signals and a transform of the blade load signals to an intermediate coordinate frame, wherein, in the transform, the unavailable blade load signal is replaced with an estimated signal. A control action is performed using the combined load signals, and the resulting pitch modification signals are applied to the pitch actuator.

Abstract: The present invention relates to controlling a wind turbine with a scaled power coefficient where the scaled power coefficient is determined in an adjustment process. In particular is disclosed control of a wind turbine in a partial load operation mode based on a tip-speed ratio (TSR) tracking scheme which based on an estimated wind speed determines a power setpoint. The disclosed adjustment process comprises setting a scaled power coefficient as a predetermined power coefficient multiplied by a scaling factor; adding a time-varying perturbation signal to the power setpoint; determining a transfer function from the perturbation signal to a power error; evaluate the frequency response of the transfer function over a time period to determine the scaling factor which minimizes the gain of the transfer function; and setting the operating power coefficient as the scaled power coefficient.

Abstract: This invention relates to obtaining a movement signal indicative of a vibrational movement of a tower. An actuator signal is then determined based on the movement signal, the actuator signal being determined to produce a desired force to counteract the vibrational movement of the tower. A pitch reference offset signal for each one of a plurality of pitch-adjustable rotor blades is then determined based on the actuator signal. An integration is then applied to the pitch reference offset signals to determine modified pitch reference offset signals based on the integrated pitch reference offset signals. A pitch signal for each of the blades is the determined based on the modified pitch reference offset signals, the pitch signals being arranged to adjust the the blades to provide the force that counteracts the vibrational movement of the tower.

The invention also relates to a wind power plant comprising a power plant controller and at least one wind turbine with a control system according to the above mentioned method.
