Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for retention of computer expansion cards and/or card bay covers inside a card bay of an information handling system chassis, and that may include an expansion card retaining apparatus that includes a pivotable first end configured to attachably rotate relative to a securing surface of the information handling system chassis, a latching second end configured to releasably lock the expansion card retaining apparatus in a locking position that prevents rotation of the expansion card retaining apparatus about the pivotable first end, at least one resiliently deformable coupling section extending between the pivotable first end and the latching second end to maintain the latching second end in the locking position, and a retention section extending between the at least one coupling section and the pivotable first end.
Abstract:
A hair dryer has a casing, a switch, a blower, a mounting cylinder and multiple heating coils. The casing is hollow and has at least one air inlet and an air outlet. The switch is mounted on the casing. The blower is mounted in the casing and connects to the switch. The mounting cylinder is heat-resistant and insulating and is mounted in the casing. The heating coils are mounted around the mounting cylinder, are arranged abreast without any overlapping or interleaved parts and connect to the switch. At least one of the heating coils is wrapped in a clockwise direction and remains of the heating coils are wrapped in a counterclockwise direction. When the hair dryer turns on, the heating coils are electrified and currents on the heating coils are in a same direction to generate opposite magnetic forces canceling out each other.
Abstract:
A heat sink protecting retention module is described. The heat sink protecting retention module has a main frame, protective feet, hooks, and a positioning mechanism. The protective feet are disposed under the main frame to keep screws therein before the heat sink protecting retention module is installed on the motherboard so as to avoid scratching the motherboard or damaging electric components thereon. The hooks are disposed on the main frame for clamping the heat sink and the positioning mechanism are disposed around and under the main frame for aligning the heat sink protecting retention module to a central processing unit socket.
Abstract:
A removable fan module is disclosed for integrating a fixing device of a fan unit with a handle of the fan module. The removable fan module is featured in installing an elastic plate having a protrusion body on the inner surface of the handle of the fan module, wherein the fan main body is fixed in the housing of the fan module via the protrusion body of the elastic plate resisting the fan unit. The present invention is to achieve the purpose of rapidly replacing the fan main body by using the application of the elastic plate of the handle and a hand hole located on the bottom of the fan module.
Abstract:
An optical mouse, with shade compensation, has a light source, a sensor and a controller. The light source illuminates a sampling plane of a mouse. The sensor consists of a 2-dimensional array of sensing elements to capture an image from the sampling plane and temporarily store the image into a 2-dimensional array of pixels, each having a pixel value. The controller is connected to the sensor for adjusting the pixel values according to a predetermined table, thereby achieving a shade compensation for the sensing elements.

Abstract:
A device for mounting a bearing onto a shaft includes a tubular pushing member having three wings extending radially outward therefrom. Each of the wings has a rod slidably and perpendicularly connected thereto so as to contact the bearing on the shaft. A threaded rod extends through a passage in the pushing member and an engaging device is on a first end of the threaded rod so as to engage with the shaft. A rotatable member rotatably contacts the pushing member and is threaded mounted to a second end of the threaded rod so that the pushing member together with the rods are moved to push the bearing by rotating the rotatable member.
Abstract:
A method of forming battery grids or plates that includes the step of mechanically reshaping or refinishing battery grid wires to improve adhesion between the battery paste and the grid wires. The method is particularly useful in improving the paste adhesion to battery grids formed by a continuous battery grid making process (such as strip expansion, strip stamping, continuous casting) that produces grid wires and nodes with smooth surfaces and a rectangular cross-section. In a preferred version of the method, the grid wires of battery grids produced by a stamping process are deformed such that the grid wires have a cross-section other than the rectangular cross-section produced by the stamping process. The method increases the cycle life of a battery.
Abstract:
Pb-Ca battery grids are dipped into a bath of molten Pb-Sn or Pb-Ag to prolong the useful life of the battery as determined by the high temperature SAE J240 test.
Abstract:
A double-ended bag is formed from a tubular woven sheet having at least one tie member extending along the length of the tubular sheet. The tubular sheet is cut to create bag panels and tie member segments in registration. The bag panels are sewn together with the bag panels in registry and the tie member segments in registry.
