Abstract:
This invention is directed to texture and acoustic spraying equipment for spraying texture material on walls and acoustic material on ceilings. This spraying equipment comprises one prime mover for driving a first hydraulic pump and also for driving an air compressor. In turn, this first hydraulic pump drives a hydraulic motor for agitating the texture material and the acoustic material. Further, this first hydraulic pump drives hydraulic motors for driving hydraulic pumps for pumping the texture material and the acoustic material to the pneumatic spray gun.
Abstract:
A system (10) for the application of nanofiber to a substrate (S) includes a tank (12) having an outlet, an agitator (24) disposed in the tank, a pump (14) located at the tank outlet and an applicator (18) disposed proximate to the substrate(S). One or more fluid conduits (16) extend from the tank to the pump and from the pump to the applicator. The fluid conduits are configured so as to minimize bends and interferences. The system includes a controller (20). A nanofiber formulation (N) in a fluid carrier in the tank is pumped from the tank to the applicator for application to the substrate at a predetermined flow rate. The pump (14) is controlled by the controller (20) to vary the output of the pump (14) to match the predetermined flow rate, and the nanofiber formulation is applied by the applicator head (18) at a predetermined coat weight on the substrate. A method for the application of nanofiber to a substrate is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A polymeric container is used to supply texture materials to the inlet of a pump. Linear low density polyethylene is used to mold a container with geometry such that the material will flow down to the inlet of a texture pump. The geometry is optimized such that thorough mixing of material can be achieved. A hole in the bottom is provided to accept a drain plug.
Abstract:
A loose-fill insulation product is provided which includes a dry mixture of loose-fill fiberglass and an inorganic adhesive in the form of a redispersible powder. During application, the dry loose-fill mixture is coated at nozzle area (15) with a liquid (e.g. water) so as to activate the adhesive. Thereafter, the loose-fill mixture with activated adhesive is blown or sprayed into a cavity (open or closed) (5) so as to insulate same.
Abstract:
A nozzle for delivering texturized fibrous material into a chamber of a muffler has a body including a texturized fibrous material passageway and a separate directional jet passageway. A method of filling a chamber of a muffler with texturized fibrous material includes the steps of extending a wand into the muffler so that a nozzle on the wand is received in the chamber, discharging a stream of texturized fibrous material into the chamber from a first passageway of the nozzle and discharging a directional jet into the stream of texturized fibrous material from a second passageway of a nozzle whereby the stream of texturized fibrous material is redirected into a desired filling direction to more efficiently fill the chamber.
