    Abstract: A surface-adhesive-rule technology (SART) method and system for creating a surface-adhesive-rule die and counter die for pre-treating cardboard. Wherein the pre-treating comprises: creasing and/or cutting and/or embossing the cardboard. The SART system may comprise: a rule-drawer having one or more cartridges, one or more nozzles, and one or more pressure actuator; a leading mechanism that carries the rule-drawer; and a controller that controls the rule-drawer and the leading mechanism according to a layout of a surface-adhesive-rule die. Each cartridge may comprise flexible materiel and may be associated with one of the nozzles having an orifice with a profile. Further the leading mechanism moves the rule-drawer and the rule-drawer draws a plurality of surface-adhesive rules from the flexible material having an attribute to reserve the shape of the orifice profile through which it is deposited on the surface of a die's body according to commands obtained from the controller.

    Abstract: An embossing roll for producing fibrous products especially tissue paper products, non-woven products or a hybrid thereof, and preferably hygiene and cleaning products, with an embossing surface is suitable to run against an anvil roll, the embossing surface includes protrusions starting from a base circumferential surface of the embossing roll; the embossing protrusions form a pattern with a base surface area of at least 3 cm×3 cm; within each pattern there is a high number of embossing protrusions which are sized and/or positioned such as to represent a rastered motive element covering the base surface area; at least some of the embossing protrusions are dimensioned and/or positioned such that consecutive minimum distances between opposed side surfaces of pairs of embossing protrusions arranged in sequence vary gradually. A device employing the embossing roll and a method for arranging embossing protrusions on a circumferential surface of the embossing roll are described.

    Abstract: An embossing roll for producing fibrous products, has a structurized embossing surface suitable to run against an anvil roll. The structurized embossing surface includes male protrusions or female depressions starting from a base circumferential surface of the roll.     Abstract: A rotary embossing die includes a curved metallic plate having an inner and an outer surface. An embossing design is etched on the outer surface of the metallic plate and an epoxy-based support plate is formed on the inner surface of the metallic plate. The metallic plate and the support plate preferably cooperate to define a shoulder. Die clips positioned around the shoulder are used to fasten the embossing die to the die cylinder of a rotary embossing machine. The metallic plate can be formed from brass or magnesium, and is preferably curved to any suitable radius.
