Abstract: A cladding system for cladding a supporting wall is disclosed. The cladding system includes a plurality of building blocks, each having a body and a facing; and a plurality of support brackets for mounting the blocks on the supporting wall at a plurality of adjoining horizontal rows. The body of each block includes engagement means for engaging at least one of the support brackets such that, in use, at least a part of the body of each block abuts at least a part of the body of a neighbouring block in an adjoining row so as to guard against water penetration between the rows.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the contactless printing of a visible surface (10b) of a cladding panel (10) with a first predetermined pattern and at least one visible section (24a, 26a) of the surface of coupling means (24, 26), which are used to connect two panels (10) of this type, with a second predetermined pattern. According to the invention the first and second predetermined patterns are printed on the panel (10) in a contactless manner in a common printing operation, wherein the different spacing (H1, H2, H3) of the visible surface (10b) and of the at least one visible section (24a, 26a) from the printing unit (36) is taken into consideration by means of an adjustment, taking into account this spacing (H1, H2, H3), of the control signals fed to the printing unit (36) for the control thereof.

Abstract: A floor grid system including a number of interconnectable tiles is provided. The tiles are interconnected with one another to form a floor surface through the use of locking assemblies extending between the tiles. The assemblies can be formed entirely on the tiles, or can include separate connectors engageable with the assemblies on adjacent tiles to interconnect the tiles and form the floor surface.

Abstract: A polymeric floor tile of elongated shape having a top surface molded to simulate a section of wood flooring with a plurality of staggered boards. The tile is adhesive-free, made possible by novel mating interlocks formed so as to lie below the linear edges defining the top tile surface. A decorative layer of wood grain may be applied to the top surface during or after molding to enhance simulation.

Abstract: A floor tile system for protecting a substrate is described. The system includes two tiles or mats that interlock with one another along numerous axes to provide a tight, high-strength seam. Specifically, the tiles include teeth that interlock with teeth of the other tile in a side-by-side manner. The tiles also include male and female portions that interlock when the tile edges overlap with one another.

Abstract: An interlockable panel for forming a generally planar surface. Each panel includes a first surface positioned substantially in a plane and a second surface facing opposite the first surface and substantially parallel to and displaced from the first surface. Each surface has a perimeter defined by edges extending between the first and second surfaces. The edges may include male or female edges. Each male edge includes a tongue that extends outwardly from the male edge and a longitudinally extending void that extends inwardly of the tongue. Each female edge includes a groove having a protrusion position within the groove and extending outwardly from the groove generally parallel to the first surface. An adjacent panel may be linked to a fixed panel such that the tongue engages the groove and the protrusion engages the void. The invention also includes a method for assembling a generally planar surface using interlockable panels such as the above-mentioned. The method generally includes the steps of placing the first surfaces of adjacent panels within a common plane, and manually linking of the male edge of the first panel with the female edge of a second panel, by relatively moving the panels towards each other while maintaining said panels in a common plane.

Abstract: The present invention a cattle flooring method & apparatus comprises interlocking mats including mat sections, inter connected with interlocking webs defined at mat edges; and mat connectors forming a mat connection such that a connection is made across a mat edges by placing one mat connector adjacent a top surface of said mats and a second mat connector placed adjacent a bottom surface of said mats such that said top and upper and lower mat connectors are adapted to interlock though mat holes in said mats thereby connecting together adjacent mat sections and clamping onto said mats. The cattle flooring apparatus further includes a slat anchor including a dome member for securing said mat together with said slat anchor to a slatted floor by urging said dome member of said slat anchor through a mat opening and into a slat opening.

Abstract: The tapered dovetail joint is a method of joining two boards, or other rigid materials such as particleboard, wafer board, etc., by a unique type of modified dovetail joint. The modification to the classic dovetail joint includes tapering the dovetail pins as well as the dovetail tails with the same angle of taper in the same direction. The mating of this tapered dovetail joint will be greatly facilitated due to these corresponding tapers. The tapered nature of this joint minimizes difficulties in assembly due to the wedging action that takes place as the two boards are brought into union to create the joint. This wedging action allows the joint to be assembled even when there is moderate damage to the tails or pins including swelling—due to moisture, from the time of manufacture to time of assembly, impact damage, as well as minor manufacturing tolerance deficiencies in cutting of the pins and tails.
