    Abstract: PURPOSE: A multiplex CARS spectrometer using a 3-color light source is provided to improve the molecular-chemical selectivity and the performance of molecule oscillation spectrum analysis. CONSTITUTION: A multiplex CARS spectrometer comprises a broadband laser source(10), a stokes laser source(20), a probe laser source(30), a beam combiner(40), an object lens for microscope(50), a sample displacement scanner(60), a condensing lens system(70), a notch filter, a monochromator(90), a 1D/2D photodetector array(100), and a data analyzer(110). The broadband laser source generates pump beam to excite the molecule oscillation of the medium constituting a sample to the multiple. The stokes laser source generate stokes beam which interacts with the pump beam to make the excited multiple molecule oscillations resonate.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confocal laser scanning microscope having a detector which forms an image to at least one detection unit. SOLUTION: The confocal laser scanning microscope comprises an illuminator (2) which supplies illumination light for illumination of a sample area (23), scanners (3, 4) which guide and scan the illumination light on the sample and a detector (5) which forms an image of the illuminated sample area (23) on at least one detection unit (28) by the use of a confocal diaphragm (26) while using the scanner (3, 4). Therein, the illuminator (2) supplies linear illumination light to the scanners (3, 4), the scanners (3, 4) guide the linear illumination light and scan on the sample and the confocal diaphragm is formed as a slit diaphragm (26) or as a slit-like area (28, 48) of the detection unit (28) acting as a confocal diaphragm.
