Abstract:
A device for positioning a shaped element on a surface of another element mounted on a mechanism to permit welding the element to the surface. An insulating fixture mounts the device on the mechanism and positions an extension having a clamp locating end that positions a clamp for holding the shaped element in a precise position in contact with the surface during welding. The clamp is conductive and directs current from the welding to the insulating fixture and prevent passage of current on the shaped element beyond the clamp.
Abstract:
Infrared camera for depicting an object, comprising a container with a gaseous medium which can be brought into a suitable state to absorb photons emitted or reflected in the infrared region by the object and to emit electrically charged particles as a function of the position of the emission respectively the reflection of the photons, an objective for projecting the object on a focal plane in the gaseous medium, state creation means for bringing the gaseous medium into said suitable state at the position of the focal plane, position detection means for detecting the position of the emission of the electrically charged particles, and control means for setting the apparatus into operation for a determined shutter time in order to depict the object, wherein the state creation means are adapted to bring the gaseous medium into successive suitable states during the shutter time as a function of time in order to absorb photons of a frequency corresponding with these respective suitable states and to emit electrically charged particles as a function of time and said position, and the position detection means are adapted to successively detect the position of the emission of the electrically charged particles during successive time intervals, which are each at least an order of magnitude shorter than the shutter time, as a function of the frequency of a photon absorbed at this position.
Abstract:
Infrared camera for depicting an object, comprising an objective for projecting the object on a focal plane upon which conversion means have been provided for converting photons in the infrared range emitted or reflected by the object into electrically charged particles as a function of position of the emission or respectively the reflection of the photons, and position detection means for detecting the position of the emission of the electrically charged particles, wherein the conversion means comprise a gaseous medium which contains particles for bringing into an excited electron state, for instance a Rydberg state, and is provided with excitation means, for instance a laser light source, for bringing particles in said excited electron state, in order to absorb the photon pulse and to emit the electrically charged particles.
