Abstract:
A powder atomizer comprises a rotatable powder conveying brush operably associated with a powder supply. A powder receptacle has an inlet and an outlet. The powder conveying brush extends along the inlet and supplies powder to the receptacle. A rotatable powder metering brush is operatively associated with the outlet and withdraws powder from the receptacle. A rotatable powder atomizing brush is operatively associated with and receives powder from the metering brush and discharges the powder. A shoe is operatively associated with the atomizing brush, and is pivotable about a pivot axis between a first and a second position.
Abstract:
A printhead assembly for an A4 pagewidth drop on demand printer includes a number of printhead modules situated along a metal channel. The metal channel is typically of a special alloy called nullInvar 3null. Preferably the channel is nickel plated to help match it to the coefficient of thermal expansion of silicon, being the major component of each individual printhead module. The channel captures the printhead modules in a precise alignment relative to each other and the similar coefficient of thermal expansion of the nullInvarnull channel to the silicon chips allows similar relative movement during temperature changes.
Abstract:
A method for enhancing resist sensitivity and resolution based on influencing the effects of photoacid drift and diffusion by an externally applied electric field that may optionally include a direct current offset bias is disclosed. An electric field applied to the resist film during post exposure bake (PEB) enhances photoacid drift in the direction of the applied electric field, reduces bake time, and results in less undesired diffusion. Electric-field enhanced PEB can reduce PEB time by about 30%, and at the same time, improve the sharpness of 2D corners and increase the verticality of resist sidewalls. Electric-field-enhanced PEB also significantly improves the tolerance of over-exposure and provides better critical dimension control. It is estimated that the lateral acid diffusion length is reduced by about 50%. An apparatus for carrying out the aforementioned method is also provided.
Abstract:
An apparatus is disclosed for the application of a polymer resin to a threaded fastener, where the fastener includes a cylindrical body and the threads of the fastener are formed in a bore extending diametrically across the body. The apparatus generally comprises a conveyor, a resin application station and a fastener orientation station. The conveyor carries the fasteners along a predetermined path of travel, and includes one or more fastener support members that permit the individual fasteners to rotate about the axes of their cylindrical bodies. The application station comprises a nozzle which directs a stream of the resin toward the travel path of the fasteners. The orientation station includes a guide member which operates to rotate each of the fasteners relative to the conveyor as they move toward the application station, and to thereby properly orient the fasteners so the threaded bore of each fastener will intersect the resin stream as the conveyor carries the fasteners along the travel path and through the spray station.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for coating liquid films on to the surface of a wafer substrate by rotation the substrate at a speed sufficient to cause a liquid, through centrifugal effect, to flow outwardly toward the perimeter of the surface and form a substantially uniform thickness liquid coating thereon and starting at the central region of the wafer surface and moving radially outward therefrom, spraying a fine mist of the liquid to the surface of the wafer.
Abstract:
The machine for the horizontal painting with powdered paints, of three-dimensional and mainly flat wood products or its by-products, comprises a horizontal and motorised conveyor (1) upon which are resting the products to be painted which by suitable means are referred to an electric potential having a predetermined sign and which by the same conveyor are driven to pass through at least one chamber (11) connected to suction means which maintain the same in depression with respect to the external environment, because in said chamber are delivered by suitable means the powdered paints electrostatically charged with electric charges having an opposite sign to the one of the products, to strictly adhere to the same products. The whole is effected in such a manner that the particles of powder do not exit from the inlet and outlet mouths or doors of said chamber because of the suction effected by said suction means. The delivery means of the electrostatically charged painting powders, are placed at least at one or both of the doors of the said chamber (11), so that are continuously licked up by the depressurisation airflow of the same painting chamber, which prevents the deposit upon said means of powdered paint and which therefore maintains said means always perfectly clean.
Abstract:
The invention is an apparatus for dispensing particles onto a surface. The apparatus includes a hopper for receiving particles. The hopper includes a hopper opening. The screen is disposed over the hopper opening so as to cover the opening. A brush is disposed approximate to the screen such that bristles on the brush contact the screen.
Abstract:
A dusting device comprises a housing (12) and at least one powder gas delivery device (14, 15), which discharges a powder gas jet (16) onto a surface of products transported in one conveyor direction (18) and a suction device (34) for unused powder gas. At least one housing wall (21) is permeable for an airstream (28a), whereby at least one permeable housing wall (21) has an air-permeable filter mat arrangement (22).
Abstract:
A supporting structure (10) moves along panel joints (J), (J) of a roof panel (R) and a roof side panel (S) of an automobile body (B). Two sealant coating devices (20, 30), which each have a coating head, are provided on the left and right sides of the supporting structure (10). The sealant coating devices (20, 30) are mounted on the supporting structure 10 in such a manner that the coating heads can move in the width direction as well as in the vertical direction of the automobile body. According to this arrangement, the sealant coating devices (20, 30) move in such a manner that the coating head follows the panel joints (J), (J) while the supporting structure (10) along the longitudinal direction of the automobile body (B).
Abstract:
An optical fiber coating device that recoats a coating removed portion of an optical fiber with light-curing resin has an observation window through which a mold inside of a shielding lid that covers the mold can be confirmed in a state where the shielding lid remains closed. There is provided an open/close lid that can open/close the observation window. An optical shielding guard plate is provided around the observation window. A filter that cuts off the external light having a specific wavelength is provided on the observation window. There is provided a photo sensor that can detect the amount of light of a light source that irradiates a light onto the light-curing resin, and the amount of light can be automatically adjusted on the basis of the detected result of the photo sensor. An alarm that urges to exchange the light source is raised on the basis of the detected result of the photo sensor. There is provided a TV camera that can capture the interior of the mold and other portions to be observed. There is provided a mirror that projects a portion that cannot be directly observed among the portions to be observed.
