Abstract: A fluid dynamic ozone generator includes a coaxial gas-fluid mixing tube, an air-cooled ozone formation tube, and a liquid-pressurized gas-liquid mixer. The air-cooled ozone formation tube has an electric discharge region for inducing and sustaining micro-discharges. An oxygen-containing gas flowing through the region is capable of forming ozone. The air-cooled ozone formation tube is installed within the coaxial gas-fluid mixing tube. The liquid-pressurized gas-liquid mixer has an airtight container with an inlet pipe for gas-contained water. Undissolved gas leaves the water and, with the addition of water pressure, builds a positive pressure in the container. The positive pressure helps to dissolve the gas in the water.

Abstract: An apparatus for generating an effective concentration of ozone for killing bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms includes a housing having an ozone chamber defining an enclosed space for containing elevated concentrations of ozone. The ozone chamber includes ports providing access to the interior of the ozone chamber. A second chamber of the apparatus houses an ozone reactor. A programmable control circuit operates both the ozone reactor and a pump for directing ambient air to the ozone reactor. The control circuit includes a motion detector mounted in the ozone chamber for activating the ozone generator of the invention and initiating the generation of ozone directed into the ozone chamber of the apparatus of the invention.

Abstract: An apparatus for generating ozone in high concentration with efficiency and linearly controlling the concentration of ozone is disclosed. The apparatus includes an oxygen generator, a flat plate type ozone generator, a high-voltage transformer, a high-frequency inverter, a cooling-water supplier, and a control signal generator. The high-frequency inverter linearly controls the concentration of ozone by applying a high-frequency voltage pulse generated according to a predetermined ON/OFF time ratio corresponding to a voltage level of a control signal, to the flat plate type ozone generator through the high-voltage transformer. The flat plate type ozone generator uses a flat plate type ceramic as dielectrics, thereby optimizing the efficiency of ozone generation and the endurance of the ozone generator, and thus simultaneously miniaturizing dimension thereof.

Abstract: A system for generating ozone by corona discharge comprises a corona discharge ozone generating cell. A downstream pressure regulator is disposed downstream and coupled to the corona discharge ozone generating cell for setting and automatically maintaining a desired cell pressure for the ozone generating cell so that effects of variances caused by processing of the ozone-containing gas downstream of the ozone generating cell on ozone production by the ozone generating cell are eliminated or at least minimized. A flow control orifice is provided upstream of the ozone generating cell for controlling the flow of incoming gas to the ozone generating cell for producing the ozone-containing gas. An upstream pressure regulator is provided upstream of the ozone generating cell for maintaining an inlet pressure of the incoming gas entering the ozone generating cell. After setting the desired cell pressure in the downstream pressure regulator, the desired flow control through the flow control orifice, and a voltage level for operating the ozone generating cell, the upstream pressure regulator can be adjusted to the optimum level to maximize ozone production.

Abstract: The invention provides an ozone generator controlling apparatus capable of controlling an ozone generator so that when a discharge breakdown occurs in some discharge element, the operation of generating ozone can be continued without imposing a bad influence on the remaining normal discharge elements. When an anomaly occurs in one of or a plurality of discharge elements during the operation of generating ozone, the anomaly is detected by an anomaly detection means. In response to the detection of the anomaly, first output control means reduces the output of an AC power supply circuit to a sufficiently low level so that after the discharge element having the anomaly is isolated from the circuit the operation of generating ozone can be continued with the remaining normal discharge elements without interruption and without causing the normal discharge elements to encounter an overload current thus preventing them from being broken one after another. The discharge element having the anomaly may be isolated using nondestructive current cut-off means such as a high-voltage relay. In this case, the current cut-off means can be used for a very long time without having to replace when a breakdown occurs in some discharge element, unlike the case where a fuse is used as the current cut-off means. When an anomaly occurs in some discharge element, instead of immediately isolating it from the circuit, the output of the AC power supply circuit may be reduced using second output control means until the current detected by the current detection means becomes lower than the predetermined upper allowable limit. This makes it possible to continue the operation of generating ozone without isolating the discharge element having the anomaly.

Abstract: A device using the failure of a material decomposable by ozone to indicate a predetermined ozone exposure. Abstract: The present invention discloses a gas generating device that is equipped with a gas leakage detection and control system which includes a multiple number of gas generating units each equipped with flow sensors for detecting flow rates in and out of the unit and a unit controller. The gas generating device is controlled by a main controller so that when leakage in a generating unit is detected, the unit is shut off and bypassed while the outputs of the other generating units can be increased to make up the shortage such that such that the total output from the gas generating device is not affected. Abstract: Apparatus for safely deodorizing and purifying an enclosure such as a building structure or vehicle using an ozone generator thereby minimizing the risk of biological exposure and pollutants which trigger environmental illness or allergic reactions. The ozone generator is controlled with an electronic logic circuitry and sensors which automatically regulates ozone exposures to peak at an antiseptic level thereby preventing inadvertent oxidation damage due to over exposure. One embodiment of the apparatus uses an ozone decomposing material to eliminate the harmful residual ozone concentration within the enclosure which is present immediately after an effective ozone treatment.
