    Abstract: 두개의 후보 화면 내 예측 모드를 이용한 화면 내 예측 모드의 부/복호화 방법 및 이러한 방법을 사용하는 장치가 개시되어있다. 화면 내 예측 모드 복호화 방법은 1 비트 정보를 기초로 현재 예측 단위의 화면 내 예측 모드가 제1 후보 화면 내 예측 모드 또는 제2 후보 화면 내 예측 모드와 동일한지 여부를 판단하는 단계와 현재 예측 단위의 화면 내 예측 모드가 제1 후보 화면 내 예측 모드 또는 제2 후보 화면 내 예측 모드 중 적어도 하나와 동일한 경우, 추가의 1 비트 정보를 기초로 상기 현재 예측 단위의 화면 내 예측 모드가 상기 제1 후보 화면 내 예측 모드와 상기 제2 후보 화면 내 예측 모드 중 어떠한 후보 화면 내 예측 모드와 동일한지 여부를 판단하여 현재 예측 단위의 화면 내 예측 모드를 복호화하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 따라서, 부/복호화 효율을 높이고 복잡도를 감소시킬 수 있다.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A scalability information expressing method in scalable video coding is provided to enable adaptive video transmission and consumption by describing extraction/scalability information in a video bit stream.
