Ein flexibles, umlenkbares Zugorgan (16) wird für statische und dynamische Lasten, insbesondere für Personenlifte, Warenlifte, Krane und Fahrzeuge eingesetzt. Das Zugorgan (16) umfasst wenigstens eine Litze (18) aus zugfesten Einzelelementen (10), wie Fasern, Drähten und/oder Bändern. Wenigstens ein Teil der Einzelelemente (10) der Litze (18) ist durch eine Beschichtung (12) und/oder Füllmaterial in Form von Fasern (28) und/oder schüttfähigem Pulver beziehungsweise Granalien (30) in Abstand gehalten. An improved rope is formed from high tenacity fibers, preferably a blend of high tenacity polyethylene fibers with aramid fibers and/or liquid crystal copolyester fibers. The fibers and/or the rope are coated with a composition comprising an amino functional silicone resin and a neutralized low molecular weight polyethylene. The ropes are useful in marine applications, such as in deep sea lifting, and have improved cyclic bend over sheave fatigue resistance.

This invention relates to a coating device for applying an anticorrosive layer on a pre-stressing steel wire. The device comprises a pretreatment device, an opening device, a device for adjusting the core-wire length and tension, a side-wires tension controlling device, an applying device and a twisting device. The device for adjusting the core-wire length and tension is placed between the front opening mold and the holding mold. The device for adjusting the core-wire length and tension comprises a storage tube and a tension controlling device. By using the invention, disordering of the core can be avoided and wires can be prevented from colliding and getting foul during the operating process. The present device can be operated easily and conveniently without any waste of wires.

A composite abrasive filament, including at least one preformed core at least partially coated with a hardened, abrasive-filled thermoplastic elastomer, exhibits increased abrading life over previously known abrasive filaments. Previously known abrasive-filled nylon filaments have limited stiffness and lose their stiffness as temperature approaches 70 DEG C. The composite abrasive filaments of the present invention are more efficient and more resistant to flex fatigue failure than abrasive-filled nylon filaments. Also disclosed are methods of making such filaments and using such filaments in article form to abrade a variety of workpieces.
