Abstract:
Embodiments include systems and methods for integrated control of environmental conditions in an equipment enclosure. For example, a novel airflow inlet structure can be installed into a primary airflow path of the equipment enclosure. The airflow inlet structure can include an integrated electrostatic filter sub-structure and an integrated electromagnetic radiation (EMR) control sub-structure. During operation of equipment within the enclosure, air drawn through the equipment enclosure can flow through the primary airflow path in such a way as to flow through the electrostatic filter sub-structure; and the EMR control sub-structure can control EMR emitted by the equipment, such that EMR leaving the enclosure is attenuated to below a threshold level.
Abstract:
An airborne particle collection system includes an airflow directing unit, register units, a fan unit, and a control system. The airflow directing unit includes a plurality of separately controlled air distribution segments. Each register unit includes a motorized damper and filter. The fan unit is connected to the airflow directing unit and to the register units through piping. The fan unit injects air into the airflow directing unit, and generates a vacuum force that causes exhaust air with airborne particles to be pulled into the register units and filtered by the filters within the register units. The control system selectively controls the air distribution segments of the airflow directing unit and the motorized dampers of the register units to generate alterable airflow patterns between the airflow directing unit and the register units in different zones within a room in which the airflow directing unit and the register units are disposed.
Abstract:
An electronic air filter containing two separate parts: an inlet part and an outlet part; an ionizer located in the inlet part; a collector located in the outlet part; the inlet part is detachable from the outlet part. The inlet part is a door. The outlet part contains detachable set of collecting electrodes.

Abstract:
A vehicle air purifying apparatus is provided. The vehicle air purifying apparatus includes: a charger configured to discharge positive (+) ions or negative (−) ions to charge particles included in harmful gas; a removable collecting electrode configured to have positive (+) or negative (−) polarity to allow the particles charged by the charger to be attached thereto; and a filter configured to filter harmful gas and have positive (+) or negative (−) polarity, and the filter is formed in a tubular shape having an empty space therein and the removable collecting electrode is inserted into the filter.
Abstract:
A separator device for removing particles from suspension in a liquid comprises: a housing (12), having first (19) and second (40) chambers with apertures (98) for ingress and egress of liquid into the first chamber (19); means (100) for setting up a swirl of liquid within the first chamber (19); apertures enabling flow of liquid between the first chamber (19) and the second chamber (40); means for setting up a swirl of liquid within the second chamber (40), the swirl in the second chamber (40) being in substantially the opposite direction to the swirl in the first chamber, and there being no substantial flow in the second chamber (40) which is in the same direction as the swirl in the first chamber (19).
Abstract:
A connection assembly is disclosed for connecting a magnetic separator into a central heating system circuit, the magnetic separator including a housing, a separation chamber within the housing, and externally threaded inlet and outlet ports extending from the housing. The connection assembly comprises: a fitment adapted to be received within at least one of the ports of the separator, the fitment including a bore for carrying fluid from/to the central heating circuit to/from the separator; a threaded connector disposed around the bore for securing the fitment to the or each port, the threaded connector having a hand grip area for facilitating tightening of the connector by hand; and a removable force transfer element receivable between the fitment and the threaded connector for transferring force between the threaded connector and the fitment.
Abstract:
A combined ionic air filter and humidifier apparatus filters air using ionic air filtering, humidifies at least a portion of the filtered ionized air, and directs the humidified filtered ionized air back into the environment. The apparatus generally includes an ionic air filter for ionizing and filtering air to produce filtered ionized air and a humidifier for humidifying the filtered ionized air to produce humidified filtered ionized air. A humidifier manifold fluidly couples the humidifier with the ionic air filter in a manner that does not allow the humidifier to interfere with operation of the ionic air filter. One or more fans draw the air into the ionic air filter and direct at least a portion of the filtered ionized air into the humidifier manifold such that the humidified filtered ionized air is discharged from the humidifier manifold.
Abstract:
An electrostatic air conditioner having at least one ion emitting member (i.e., corona frame) and at least one ion collecting member (i.e., collecting cartridge) is provided. The corona frame and collecting cartridge are configured to have active and passive areas and be removable from the housing within which they are positioned. The passive areas provide additional spacing between the active area and the side walls of the housing, and provide several advantages over existing electrostatic air conditioners, e.g., eliminates barriers between active corona wires and the housing walls, which prevents any settling of chemically active or electrically active matter (vapor or particles) on such barriers and/or housing walls (due to air flow).
Abstract:
An improved method and apparatus for removing metal cuttings from an oil well drilling mud stream provides a magnetic body or “ditch magnet” having end plates that extend radially and circumferentially from the magnetic body, the plates being positioned at end portions of the magnetic body. A third plate in the form of a wiper is used to dislodge metal cuttings and other metallic material from the magnetic body after the magnetic body has accumulated such metallic parts. One of the end plates can be removable to facilitate a complete scraping or wiping of the metallic parts from the metallic body by the wiper plate.
