Abstract: A method for the service of multiple terminals with one number ringing simultaneously is provided. After the application server receives the call request from the calling terminal, the application server forwards the request which carries the media description information of the common session of the calling terminal and the sign supporting the early media session to the called terminals; after the called terminals receive the call request, they send the media description of the common session of themselves and the media description information of the early media session to the application server; the application server amends the media description information of the early media session from the called terminals and feeds it back to the called terminals respectively; the application server sends the ringing to the calling terminal; after the application server finds that one called terminal is off-hook, the application server informs the other called terminals to hang up and sends the media description information of the common session of the hook-off terminal to the calling terminal, then the calling terminal and the called terminal come into talk with each other. A system for the service of multiple terminals with one number ringing simultaneously is provided. The losing packet problem due to the media switch is solved.
