Abstract: An aseptic coupling assembly, includes a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a first housing, a first valve member, and a first spring that biases the first valve member towards the second end of the first housing to a first closed position. The second connector includes a second housing, a second valve member, and a second spring that biases the second valve member towards the second end of the second housing to a second closed position. The first valve member is slidable away from the first closed position within the first housing to compress the first spring and the second valve member is slidable away from the second closed position within the second housing to compress the second spring. The coupling assembly further includes a seal that prevents fluid from contacting the first spring and the second spring.

Abstract: An energy delivery device cooling system includes a reservoir connector assembly and an elongate member. The elongate member has first and second lumens in fluid communication with the reservoir. The first lumen includes an outflow port and the second lumen includes a return port each in fluid communication with the reservoir. The device further includes a tubing system having a first end and a second end. The first end connected in fluid communication with the outflow port and the second end in fluid communication with the return port. The second end configured to return a fluid to the reservoir. The tubing system connects to an energy delivery device to cool the fluid.

Abstract: A containment and transfer device for use with highly active or sensitive compounds, comprising a sleeve or a bag with one or more flexible walls, a first sanitary clamp, an endcap, a second sanitary clamp and a compression clamp. The sleeve or bag has a first end for connection to a container, and a second end for (a) connection to a storage or mixing vessel at the discharge location, or (b) connection to an endcap for transportation. The flexible walls surround and define an internal passageway in that permits compounds in the first end of the sleeve or bag to pass into the second end of the sleeve or bag. The compression clamp compresses the flexible walls of the sleeve or bag together to produce a barrier across the internal passageway, preventing the highly active or sensitive compound from flowing into the second end of the sleeve or bag during packing, transporting and discharging the device.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure include male and female connector parts for connecting elements of a fluid delivery device, the male and/or female elements having one or more resilient, flexible guards that can be moved laterally or compressed axially to avoid interference with coupling the male and female parts. Such connectors can be used to connect tubing, syringes, respirators, and other devices for fluid transport. Such connectors can decrease the likelihood of nosocomial infections.
