    Abstract: An electron microscope system and a method of measuring an aberration of the electron microscope system are disclosed. An aperture filters an electron beam at a diffraction plane of the electron microscope to pass through electrons having a selected energy and momentum. A displacement of an image of the passed electrons is measured at a detector in an image plane of the electron microscope. An aberration coefficient of the electron microscope is determined from the measured displacement and at least one of the energy and momentum of the passed electrons. The measured aberration can be used to alter a parameter of the electron microscope or an optical element of the electron microscope to thereby control the overall aberration of the electron microscope.

The server executes an asynchronous computation to determine the value of an object.     Abstract: Techniques facilitating using a blockchain system that integrates the trustworthiness of the blockchain concept with open scientific research by generating a blockchain of the experiments formed, data collected, analyses performed, and results achieved are provided herein. In an example, the blockchain system can form a blockchain representing a research project, wherein the blockchain comprises a first block of research data and a second block of analysis data representing a log of an analysis performed on the research data. Summary blocks and correction blocks can also be added to the blockchain representing the post analysis of the research results. One or more of the subsequent blocks can be linked to the preceding blocks using information in block headers that can also serve to determine whether modifications to the blocks have been performed.

    Abstract: A method is provided for networking nodes in a data center network structure, including connecting at least ten base units each including connected nodes with southbound connections of a multi-host NIC controller having northbound a higher total bandwidth than southbound, the controllers configured as dragonfly switches; connecting the ten base units with their respective controllers in a modified Peterson graph form as an intragroup network to build a super unit including three groups, where each controller uses three northbound connections for a direct connection to three other base units of the super unit, and in which two base units of each group are connected via a respective one of a fourth northbound connection to one of the other groups, and a remaining base unit not being part of one of the groups is adapted for using three northbound connections for direct connection to one base unit in each group.
