The invention provides a warp-stretch twill fabric having a face side and a back side and comprising non-elastomeric ends and bare elastomeric ends wherein the ratio of non-elastomeric ends to bare elastomeric ends is from about 2:1 to about 6:1; an elastomeric end face exposure count of 2 occurs less frequently than once per 10 picks; and the elastomeric ends float over no more than 3 picks on the face side.

Methods for making stretch shirting fabric having fabric weight less than 175 g/m 2 and fabric stretch between 15% to 45% in the weft direction are disclosed. A corespun composite elastomeric yarn is produced either (a) by low draft (2.7 x or below) core-spinning of the elastomeric yam, or (b) by pretreating the corespun composite yarn in steam or heated water at temperatures of at least 110°C to reduce yarn power before dyeing or weaving. The shirting fabric with such corespun composite elastomeric yam in the weft meets end-use specifications without heat-setting.

The invention provides a fabric comprising one or more polyesters optionally with other fibers which is treated with a finish comprising at least one fluorochemical stain repellent agent and at least one fluorochemical stain release agent, wherein the fabric maintains oil repellency and stain release capability after at least five industrial launderings at about 55 0C to about 65 C. The invention also provides a method of treating a fabric with a finish to impart oil repellency, water repellency, and stain release which is durable to repeated industrial laundering. The invention further provides textile articles comprising the treated fabric, and a method for industrial laundering of such treated fabric and textile articles.

The present invention relates to thermoplastic compositions having; high dimensional stability at high temperatures. In particular it is directed to polyester compositions containing mica for use in dual-ovenable trays and clear lids for hot food containers. According to one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a polyester composition comprising a polyester containing greater than about 2 to less than about 10 weight % of a mica filler. According to another embodiment of the present invention the mica containing polyester is prepared by the addition of the mica during polymerization, using a buffer to minimize diethylene glycol formation. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the polyester composition containing greater than 2 to less than 10 weight % mica also contains an additive package of impact modifier, nucleating agent and pigment in a concentration from about 5 weight % to 20 weight of the total composition. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the polyester composition containing mica is thermoformed into a container, such as a food tray.

A shaped support for a body-shaping garment, including a foundation garment, such as a brassiere or girdle, is formed from a single or from multiple layers of a plastic material having certain flex modulus and perpendicular and in-plane apparent stiffnesses, such as a polyester film with a thickness in the range of from15 to 35 mil. The shaped support is incorporated into the structure of the body-shaping garment, preferably by adhering the support directly to the fabric comprising the body-shaping garment using a film or hot melt adhesive. The shaped support preferably has an asymmetric shape and readily conforms to various body curvatures for increased wearing comfort, but has sufficient stiffness to provide desired lifting or holding support.

The binder composition includes: (i) a component selected from the group consisting of: an alkoxylated fatty acid amide, alkyl sulfonate salt, an amino-silicone softener, and mixtures thereof; and (ii) a component selected from the group consisting of: a glyoxal type wrinkle resistant resin, an imidazole type wrinkle resistant resin, a cationic polyamine, a curable silicone resin, a polyurethane resin, and mixtures thereof. Methods for making the binder system as well as methods for applying the binder system to textile materials are also provided.

The present invention relates to a melt blend of a base polymer, an oxidizable organic polymer, a transition metal salt catalyst and a colorant that does not completely deactivate the catalyzed oxidation. A preferred colorant, yields in an article made from the polymer melt blend a Catalyst Deactivation Factor (CDF) of less than about 0.25, preferably less than 0.15, more preferably less than 0.1, and most preferred less than 0.05. The present invention also comprises a colored monolayer article having the described CDF, such as a film, thermoformed tray, or blow molded container, that has active oxygen scavenging properties. The colorant, after melt blending a base polymer, an oxidizable organic polymer, a transition metal catalyst, does not increase the binding energy of the transition metal catalyst ion by more than 1 eV.
