The object of the invention is a traction sheave elevator and a rope (3) that contains metal as a load-bearing material, such as the suspension rope of an elevator, which rope comprises at least one or more strands (7) laid from metal wires (9) and which rope (3) is lubricated with a lubricant (8). Another object is the use of the aforementioned lubricant for lubricating the rope (3). The lubricant (8) comprises at least oil and thickener, which thickener in the lubricant (8) comprises at least 10% or more of the mass of the lubricant (8).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Vorbereitung von metallischen Werkstücken zum Kaltumformen zuerst durch Aufbringen einer Phosphatschicht und danach durch Aufbringen einer Schmierstoffschicht mit einem wesentlichen Gehalt an organischem polymeren Material, wobei die Phosphatschicht mit einer wässerigen sauren Phosphatierungslösung mit einem wesentlichen Gehalt an Kalzium, Magnesium oder/und Mangan sowie Phosphat ausgebildet wird und wobei die Schmierstoffschicht durch Kontaktieren der phosphatierten Oberfläche mit einer wässerigen Schmierstoffzusammen- Setzung ausgebildet wird, die einen Gehalt an organischem polymeren Material auf Basis von lonomer und gegebenenfalls auch an Nicht-Ionomer enthält, und wobei als organisches polymeres Material vorwiegend Monomere, Oligomere, Cooligomere, Polymere oder/und Copolymere auf Basis von lonomer, Acrylsäure/Methacrylsäure, Epoxid, Ethylen, Polyamid, Propylen, Styrol, Urethan, deren Ester oder/und deren Salz(e) eingesetzt werden. A method of reducing the torque of a drill string used in drilling a subterranean well that includes injecting into the drilling fluid a composition including a base fluid and a polymer coated colloidal solid material. The polymer coated colloidal solid material includes: a solid particle having an weight average particle diameter (d 50 ) of less than ten microns, and a polymeric dispersing agent coated onto the surface of the solid particle during the cominution (i.e. grinding) process utilized to make the colloidal particles. The polymeric dispersing agent may be a water soluble polymer having a molecular weight of at least 2000 Daltons. The solid particulate material may be selected from materials having of specific gravity of at least 2.68 and preferably the solid particulate material may be selected from barium sulfate (barite), calcium carbonate, dolomite, ilmenite, hematite, olivine, siderite, strontium sulfate, combinations and mixtures of these and other similar solids that should be apparent to one of skill in the art.

The aim of said invention is to produce, during operation, a protective metalloceramic film having a heterogeneous structure and provided with increased density, wear resistance, a high adhesion to a friction surface and whose friction factor after burnishing is equal to or less than 0.03-0.07. The novelty of the inventive cladding concentrate comprising a powdery metallic filler, surface-active agents, oil-soluble metallic dialkyl-thiophosphpric acid salts and a basic oil lies in that said concentrate additionally comprises a mineral silicate and a cyclohexanol-based filler at the following component ratio: 0.05-20 % by mass of a powdery metallic filler, 0.5-11 % by mass of surface-active agents, 1-45 % by mass of metallic dialkyl-thiophosphpric acid salts, 1.2-20 % by mass of a silicate based filler and 0.05-2.0 % by mass of a cyclohexanol. Said silicate based filler comprises natural minerals selected from the range of laminated hydrocylicates such as a serpentinite and/or a chlorite. The metallic dialkyl-thiophosphpric acid salts are embodied in the form of zinc and/or stannum and/or molybdenum and/or aluminium and/or copper and/or cadmium salts.

The method involves applying an HPF friction control composition to one, or more than one contacting surface of one or both of the two steel elements. In a particular example, the HPF friction control composition comprises a rheological control agent, a lubricant, a friction modifier, and one, or more than one of a retentivity agent, an antioxidant, a consistency modifier, and a freezing point depressant.
